i use these and the only thing a dont like about it is that when listening to stuff like skrillex if you listen carefully you will hear this kinda scratchy sorta static noise which is quite annoying but that is only if its stuff thats like really alot of bass i dont hear that i anything else. overall pretty good and really comfy

GREAT REVIEW why would anyone dislike this? If they were searching this product they got exactly what they asked for here. BUT 2 questions,

Can this item be used for PS3 gaming?

Can this item be used to listen to music?

@iProCami I think it needs an adapter for the PS3 and it could be used for listening ot music as long as the device has a standard jack like the ones on cell phones, Ipods, etc.

@iProCami any pair of headsets can be used for console gaming as long as you connect the sound jack into your TV (The Carcharias has enough cord to reach the moon). However, when it comes to using your mic, that's a different story.

This headset has really turned me away from Razer and all of it's merchandise. #1 thing it has failed to work twice in one year. I CLEARLY SAY the amount this mic costs your better off buying from a different company other than sony or logitec since both are also out for the paper in your wallet. This headset is not worth 70$ I would price it out to be approximately 20$ from the amount of plastic they wasted to make it look nice.

I just bought them today and they are really good. But I have a question.. When i use the mic everyone says that i am really quiet, and then i have to push the mic closer to my mouth with my hand in other for them to hear me. I have put the mic on 100 ( volume) and even turned the boost on.. and nothing.. Does anybody else have a problem like me?

It would work with a 360 if you purchase an adapter that fits in to the Xbox 360 microphone jack. I use a Steel Series Xbox 360 "puck" that fits in to the controller, then mixes the game audio and the 3.5mm mic.

Here's some suggestion to those who wanted to have surround sound on razer carcharias..

try to pair it with Asus Xonar DG 5.1 soundcard .

They work fine together since the soundcard gave this stereo headset the surround sound =)

The music sounds good but some might say it's a bit "bassy". There is no surround sound on this headset though.

Just bought these the other day. I watched the walking dead with them, the sound was so good the sound of bugs flying around made me flinch like they were in my room. Soft earpiece and yes the cord I wanna say made out nylon or fiber as you say will last alot longer compared to those cheap rubber ones that break within a couple months..

I bought the Roccat Valo keyboard and wasn't impressed by it at all. It had a buzz that came from the light display on it and Roccat knows about it and just says that most people can't hear it. I was like "WTF". I don't know much about their other products though. I ended up returning mine though. I would do some research before buying anything from Roccat Studios. Hope this helps man.

I would go with the Carcharias. The Gamecom looks a bit bulky to me but I don't know what the weight of it is. The Carcharias is a very light headset.

you have an ...interesting... vocabulary. Anyway, do they have software or a switch to change L/R channels? a microphone that swings both ways is pretty pointless if you can't swap them. infact, it's pretty stupid.

I have had it for about a year and it still has good sound. I've used it FPS games and MMO's and never have had a problem with it. I highly recommend it. The Megalodon is better but of course much more expensive as well. Hope this helps.

As long as you hook it up to the right jack inputs you should be good to go. Make sure the mic is hooked up right and that you have your mic set up properly with your software.

Have you tried the Carcharias yet? You can't really say one is better unless you've tried both :P

I'm not saying I wouldn't believe it (Siberia v2 and 5HV2 are supposed to be like the 2 best headsets for shooters), but you can't accurately compare them if you have only tried one of them.

I might still get the Carcharias, though, so I don't have to order the 5Hv2s online (I don't like having to wait).
