Custom Battle, I'll have 3xGatling guns Left/Centre/Right and I'll give the AI as many Samurais as i can and see if they can get me.

maxim guns in oriental campaign the guns disapear after battle i already increase the size of units but this dont work any way for increase size of a specifc unit ? or a solution for this?

At Isandhlwana the british troops were strung out all over the place when they needed to be tightly packed.

Rorkes drift showed what should have happened if they had been tightly packed.

Great Britain still had the square formation during this time period too? Going to have to read into this. You should be able to combine up to 4 line infantry units to form a square!!! Or just use 1 unit to do square. But 4 line infantry units in square plus cav in center is good tactic! :D

@ThePHOXman Pretty sure it's a custom sound for the Martini-Henry rifles the British were using at this time. The muskets and flintlock rifles of the vanilla game have different sounds.

@Teirr66 Empire Total war for seems like a better deal (for me that is) because you get to play so many other factions although the game is old and hasn't been updated for awhile. I have NTW and after seeing a few vids of ETW i feel like i got ripped off. I would suggest watching some channels like Heirofcarthage vids and decide for yourself.

@E69Kobe the zulu's lost at the end yes. However they won key battle's because of English cockynes 15,000 troops were in the heart of Zulu. While the general and another 5,000 troops went hunting or something like that.

But there was a majer fight were 10,000 zulu's against around 300 armed men in a small town and they English won. There were like 20 victorier cross's given that day highest medal ever acheived. But that same day 15,000 soldiers died because of stupid generals.

@hassmanSMO The fight where you believe 15,000 britons died is false. (The Battle of Isandlwana) It was actually 1,500 britons AT THE BATTLE, which at least 100 survived. Also, the fight in the ''town'' (The Battle of Rorke's Drift) was actually a fight around a mission station, with 150 britons and 4,000 zulu's. Also, ''only'' 11 victoria crosses were handed out after the battle of Rorke's Drift, not 20.

@ZuluSmasher I think the creators should make a dedicated game for the time period between 1835 - 1885 because then at your feet you have the Franco Prussian war, the Indian wars, Many revolutions and civil wars in South America, the Alamo, the Mexican American war, and ultimatley, the American Civil War, oh and Zulu :) oh yah plus i hear their already making a shogun for the late 1800's.

Your flanks where heavily unprotected and your units fired to fucking early, I dont know if you can control whenever theyre going to fire but they should've waited until they were in a range like..... 20m and then the first line of each coloumn. But still, IT LOOKS FREAKIN AWESOME :D

If you had spread your units out in longer lines would more of the units have been able to fire at the same time? and would you have won the battle?

@ZenPhilosopher123 Longer ranks means more guns firing so it might have helped (can only have 3 deep maximum though) and yes you can get maxim guns.

Im having troube with this mod and the Great war mod because some units wont work for me and for the great war I cant play as the Soviet Union i cant play as the USA and Arty Observers wont work and Gattling guns wont work for ZULU

Yes they did and the Zulus greatly feared the British bayonet.

However, when close in fighting is VERY packed and tight then a Martini Henry rifle with a bayonet on the end is a VERY long and cumbersome weapon and cannot be used as well as the Zulus' short stabbing spears which were more manoeuvrable.
