Arduino is all that is wrong with the electronic hobbyist community.

Making someone use one to program a POV wand is absolutely stupid. Why not just put a friggin' arduino on it in the first place? Why is Make completely becoming advertising for Arduino instead of trying to teach people to use REAL microcontrollers like PIC and AVR and skills like soldering and making circuit boards?

The fact is you're not 'making' anything like this. Arduinos blow.

MAKE , can you plug it in to your computer with a USB?

Just waving it gives inconsistent results and isn't as fun to use.

We want home made do it yourself projects where we dont need to spend 50$ at home depot or spend 30$ plus shipping do get your new kit, oh plus 20$ to get the arduino needed..... No thanks
