FN4 Kills UFC 2009 no matter what sport you like better. FN is more fluid, better graphics. Not sure but I believe they put more effort into making FN 4 to. FN4, what a game! The commentary on FN 4 is a little less accurate than UFC. In FN 4 Atlas tends to get on your nerves for the fact that he is a little repetitive and has managed to annoy everyone in my house, in the same breath I dont think they could have picked a better announcer.

FN just seems more fluid in the gameplay which makes it more realistic, aside from the graphics. UFC, you strike and there's a slight pause from the fighter, then you strike again. Also, in UFC the ground-game...basically sucks, all it is, is to move the analogs in a circular motion to move past into the next guard or mount, then your opponent would try to beat you into getting the full mount and so forth. It turns the game into a wrestling match than a MMA game. But until UFC '10 I'd say FN.

First off, I don't like neither of the games. FNR4 pisses me off because of how they changed the controls and haymakers. ..and the reaction time for the punches are so late compared to FNR3. I have to wait 2 minutes for it to compute a combo. UFC is just ass cock. I don't even know what I'm doing half the time. I'm always getting owned. Its like, what do I do? Do I press the right thumbstick up to kick, or the RT to grapple, and do a half circle rotation to move my elbow? WTF?? Fuck that game.

ufc 2009 is nowhere near better then fight night,in the career mode in ufc u only get to fight the fighters they pick for u,and towards the end of the career u constantly fight the same EXACT fighters,ufc graphics are garbage,mainly b/c its THQ and not EA..now i guarantee u the new mma game from EA is way better then both..but in UFC u never make it to the 3rd round,2nd round is a guarabteed KO..plus it doesnt have all the grappling techniques or striking techniques

So this was EA Canadas first shot at the boxing series. Much like it was THQ's first shot at an MMA series. Now another EA dev is making EA Sports MMA. Which this will be their first MMA title, but it will be using a modified FNR4 engine.

I would prefer UFC because its WAY more fun. You can take on 3 different types of grappling and striking while fightnight is just boxing. Since the game is just boxing it is very easy to abuse the concept and just button mash your way to victory.

ufc 09 is was better than fight night round 4.....it's a very technical game and if you know what your doing then you won't get ko'd easy....to get ko'd MOST of the time you have to get hit in the head a bunch of times it hardly happens all of a sudden, in fight night sometimes if you get hit with one big counter even if you were crushing the opponent you get Ko'd and it's hard as shit to get up the second time....if you get down the gameplay in ufc you'll realize that it's just far superior.

The thing I hate about UFC the game is that you do have to fight the same guy over and over once you become champ. @tosxpert To be honest. FNR4 was made by a completely different dev team and they has to build the engine from the ground up. It's the 4th in the series, but it's a first try for the new devs. Most of FN04-R3 was scrapped, even bits of the total punch control. So it's kind of like a first try for both Fight Night and the UFC game. Fight Night 1-3 were made by EA Chicago I believe and Round 4 was made by EA Canada.
