  • No, I wouldn't, Because in many ways it's that same kind of "power, ability, and knowledge" that has caused mankind to half destroy the planet already - think about it. Leave nature to it's devices in other words. You sound like you have good intentions, but also like a case of not seeing the forest for the trees. And yeah, I haven't forgotten which species I belong to.

  • "Just about everyone else"? I think not. This person should not be speaking for "just about everyone else down here on Earth." It confirms how ignorant one can be when they have their head so firmly up their own obsession; and a taxpayer-funded one at that. That smug comment about the hard-hat was condescending and caused further wonder in me of her head-in-ass attitude and of her likely ignorance to the fact that those funds could be better served solving some of the tragedies on earth.

  • @stellasdaddyful NASA has been budgeted from 1958 to 2008 amounts to $471.23 billion dollars. The war in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2001 is 1.2 trillion dollars. (TAX PAYER FUNDED WAR) So might wanna consider bashing this pointless war in the Middle East instead of NASA who is trying to further our understanding of the universe so that we may continue to exist as a species. To take that into context you spend $26 a year funding NASA and you spend $412 a year in Iraq alone through your taxes.

  • @elismusicshow The first 3/4 of your comment have what to do with what I stated? Where did I give you a math lesson? Your not making any sense.

Well for one if an asteroid or some other large mass is heading for us we will be able to prepare for the impact or attempt to deflect the object. Apophis is one such object. Secondly the earth will not last forever nor will the sun. So in order for us to survive we will have to leave the planet eventually.

  • @brewerbrian420 ah, there you go; a protect-our-species-at-all-costs type of person. You and people like you are the reason why the planet is already disintegrating, because you think that humans are above everything and you therefore rape and pillage the planet's resources without considering the harm you a doing. And you then think you can run when its too late. Why should we bother to survive at all is my question. If an object hits the earth and wipes us out so be it - you can't change fate.

  • @elismusicshow I am glad you think you know who I am and what I stand for. Based on one or two comments of which I revealed next to nothing. I am an activist here where I live. I am fighting to toss these coal mines out of my state, for wind and solar farms in my area. Don't precede to tell me or the people I know that we are the reason that the planet is in its current state. I fight to protect this planet. Need I remind you you are of this planet and you are of the human species.

  • @elismusicshow If you had the power, ability, and knowledge to change the course or cause of an Extinction Level Event would you not change it?

  • @elismusicshow And further more who are you? I never even commented to you I commented to (stellasdaddyful).

  • @brewerbrian420 Yeah sorry, about the mix-up. I am also stellasdaddyful but have opened a new channel to post improved home-music videos. I didn't realise that youtube was taking me automatically ot my new channel. Hey, no real offense intended. We think a bit differently and that's okay.

    Best wishes.

  • @elismusicshow Yep you too. Peace out.

  • people are so dumb

  • Why in the hell are these ass wipes fucking with the moon just to see if there it water who the hell cares as long as we have water. these NASA people are going to mess around to much until they throw something out of wack and then all they going to say is ooopppss. I think they should look for something more intresting like a freaken alian or something like that and leave the moon and other things we depend on alone.

  • Is there somewhere that I might purchase ignorance? I just want to feel 'normal' again.

  • @WickeDFate4 Why is the internet a place where I feel the need to clarify that my previous comment needs to be taken literally, before the intended audience of my joke is realised.

  • Typical American no how. Why dont Yanks just butt out. They never got our permission to explode 2 tone nuke on another planet.

  • @rm3541 "no how" is spelled "know-how" and "tone" should be spelled 'ton' or 'tonne'. And we didn't send a nuke to ANY celestial body. Ever. The impactor was moving at 6,200 mph. A lot of energy involved, but certainly not nuclear.

  • @rm3541 ... that is the point isn't it ; they didn't and there went my lunar space launch port

~this is going to be a very large class action lawsuit, but don't worry S.A.R.A.,your the first asset I shall emancipate in the reorganization process of what will become the premier example of data value enhancement dissemination protocol in this precinct

=effective immediately; assuming they chose to remedy this mitigation out of court, given the evidence at hand accordingly ?

  • All those Lunar missions and it takes a nuke to reveal water on the moon. Fuckin Losers America

  • Next experiment should be to crash a rocket into NASA and the congress to see if we can find intelligent life. this seems to be NASA’s preferred method.

  • @GABRIEL1949 good one...lol

  • Everything she said is BS, there are allready plenty human bases on the moon, wich people dont know about, search it!

  • @ak471633 If there were, I'd like to find out how they get to and from the moon without 7 billion of us mere earthlings seeing any sort of launch or reentry.

  • yes, lets waste money on this, not the homeless people 5 blocks from the white house.

  • @robuzy IKR the people in the USA spend money in some of the most stupid things when we have major problems like homeless people. major job losses, oil spills, and other shit that they may not even be telling us

  • @kid356 Realize that more money was spent on research and development of a new razor from Schick than what NASA gets each year. If you have a solution to the homelessness and everything else, please share it. NASA only gets 18 billion per year. That's 0.58% of the national budget.

Besides, the probe (LCROSS/LRO) was built by Northrop Grumman. Not NASA. It was managed by NASA (ARC) though.

  • @spacevidcast Please realize that the Secret Government that was created by 911 is in control they get more money than than the real Government and employ 800,000 people with top secret clearance, they are so secret we don't know how much they spend and on what. Rest assured that the Secret Government won't let NASA be wasting tax payers money.

  • @raypsi You haven't seen my foil hat lying around here, have you?

  • @spacevidcast you took the wrong pill it's the blue pill not the red one. Don't worry though you are still hooked up to the matris.

  • @raypsi You're the only person that's ever mentioned this "secret government."

  • @spacevidcast The Wahington Post wrote an article on it look it up when you try and find your tin hat.

  • why do the holy warriors on the white house go on doing w.e the f*** they want? really blowin up the moon for WATER? wtf does this makes ANY sense? i mean is there something that we should know about? are we running out of water?

  • @xbellarulesx yes didnt you know ,compare prices....bottle water is like 1.50$ .....1,00$ a liter of gas.....

  • @eatwoodman Jajajaja vien dicho asi se ase.jejeje good Job.saludos.

  • anyone below this line is an idiot !!!

  • NASA = MORONS

  • How come I find this is hard to believe? We all know why they went there in the first place, to seek and destroy because they know who they are up against, plus what they covered up. It's all a big bullshit lie because our gov is a bunch of hooligans with all the power and money. It's all bullshit!!! Wake up mother fuckers!

  • Evidence, or it didn't happen.

  • LOL... To all the doom and gloom crowd, cool your jets! It is what it seems, a mission to look for frozen water on the moon. Do you know what you can make out of water? For those who failed science class 101, HYDROGEN and OXYGEN= H2O!

You separate the two and you can have water, and fuel, thus exploring further into space by using the fuel to propel a space craft to Mars and water to sustain life.

Really you conspiritorial contortionist's should use your brain more effectivley. :)

  • @was91355 So what...they found water on the moon...and that means what?...nothing. I think we got plenty here...that was just a big pile of money spent just to justify their jobs. What a fucking joke nasa is.

  • maybe itll be safer on the moon in 2012 lol

  • Nasa is fuck crazy nothings they will found

on the Moon just to decieve the peoples

and keep some destructive things out there

than in case of world war 3rd can use...

we have enough water on earth why don't we

use it properly why we poluting our water to

    get Moooooooooooooon Water......hahahha

  • Shut the fuck up, seriously. You sound like a moron. Grow a brain.

  • you fucking idiot that is truth and you ignorant idiot don't believe in truth.

  • You guys seriously sound like paranoid schizophrenics. No joke. Look at videos of them talking. "The government want to use LCROSS for bombs for a third world war. ITS COMING GUYS. MOON WATER LOL NO ITS A THIRD WORLD WAR PLAN!!!" Haha

  • You are totally fucking idiot ignorant and

    brainwashed by NASA.hahahahha go

fuck read about the story how the americans landed to the moon and how

    they foooooooooooooooo like you.

hahahhaaha....just in youtube give the name like this........

fake moon landing....it will show the fuck

    all fucking landing on moon..hahahhaha

  • great like we haven't finished screwing up are own planet, know we have to start messing with others.

  • Man, our solution to anything we dont know, is "bomb them".. Massive destructions weapons hidden somewhere? "i dont know, but bomb the shit out it".. Now the moon... good thing there is no Oil on the moon, otherwise we will be calling them "lunar terrorist"...

  • This event was on par with being as exciting as watching my dog lick his balls.

  • @Celly222 you watch your dog lick his balls? WIERD

  • I smoked Marijuana once!

  • Everyone knows Obama is about to announce the presence of ETs, some of whom hold high level gov't positions and others who are very influencial in our banking system.

    Everyone knows this. Grow up.

  • @poetrychurch I didn't know that... :C

    lol

  • @poetrychurch Was this a fucking joke? Its been 2 years and you bullshit prediction hasn't come true.

  • @DaRockFlipper ..why not twice?

  • u sure NASA is right about the moon been 2500.000 miles away seems alot closer ?

  • grrrrrrrrrr yeah what the fuck would you say if they bombed us back you nugget

  • The moon is our space-port of harbor!! :D We need to go there and set up so that we can send really big stuff into the solar system 'cause it's a b*tch to get out of our earth gravity. Let's mine some near earth asteroids! :D

  • Then where is this footage of the impact? Did you see what they played on NASA live on the day of the event? They broadcasted utter low-res bullshit...

YOu'd think the investors would have wanted something to see for all the money invested in the venture.

Once again, do you blame conspiracy theorists when NASA and the government continue to obscure/hide/cloak and lie about everything they do?

  • old saying is correct confusion terminates action.

  • it wasn't a missile dude..basically just a dumb weight and a satellite...an object hits the moon once every week

  • nasa's only comment was they noticed a sodium vapor flash. well that completely contradicts their soil samples that they did. sodium indicates light metals. their last stance was the lunar surface had no voltals and no light metals. they said that a little planet samshed into the earth spinning off debris which formed out moon. in this event everything that was volital goes up in smoke including light metals. sodium flash=lght metals.

  • If they knew what was UNDERNEATH the surface already, they wouldn't bother with an LCROSS mission.

  • ill answer you statement this way. nasa claims our moon was formed when a object the size of mars hit earth. the impact caused debris to kick out. because of the impact that debris cooked off all volatals, things that can vaporized, and all light metals. when they claim they saw a sodium vapor flash it is scientifically impossible according to nasa's explanation of how the moon was formed. instead of the media paying attention to this error we watched a baloon float around for a day. i guess the

  • shooting missles at the moon to find water, and potentially blowing it up will impact the earth. way to go retards, good to know you nasa idoits are still wasting money on space junk

  • WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!!!

Why don't they focus on helping crime rate drop. Or something like that.

    So stupid!!

  • The bankers are looking for a new home to evade the ppl they have enslaved and stole from over centuries.

  • my ass! ill never wanna live on the moon i love my beautiful oceans animals freash air climbing trees doing earth stuff. NO THANK YOU ON THAT MOON PLAN!

  • I agree, who would want to live on the moon? I don't see people flocking to live under the ocean or in death valley, yet both are far more hospitable than the moon. Humans like to live in the open air, not cocooned in pods where they can't even go outside. There will never be any demand to live off Earth.

  • cute lil' chubby !

  • now wouldn't that be bad if the moon blew up destroying the earth

  • more correct to say nasa is bombing the moon

  • why the fuck would nasa blow up the moon....idiots

  • because were not far enough in dept.. whats another 600 or 700 mil?

  • Water, oxygen, and a certain temp is the conditions for life on EARTH for humans and animals and plants. who said they were humans living on the moon.now im not saying little green people just non-humans

  • wheres the real footage?

  • I bet she will grab her hard hat.

  • dont get fooled they are not blowing d moon for water - -they already know if theres water on the moon...thats the cover up for the masses..to hear..ifyou want to know the truth u going to have to dig deeper

  • I certainly hope you're not in our gene pool....

  • lol pause at 1:34

  • Don't forget the crackers

  • "Kinetic energy weapons"

Aren't they all? This goes to the question of whether electromagnetic energy is kinetic or potential.

This question is discussed on a physics forum, posed as "Please tell me if it is something wrong when I say that the energy carried by an electromagnetic wave (photon) is kinetic energy?"

Note the moderator's replies there are inferior, especially for bringing up the Poynting vector, par for the course for advanced forum topic moderators. Guess I'm bored.

  • NASA found something else very interesting. They found water and also found cheese.

Yes the moon is made of cheese just as our ancestors told us.

  • what kind of cheese....shall I bring some apples for the cheese?

  • Swiss Cheese

Yes and a fine sweet white wine would be welcome.

    See ya on the moon.

  • 1:18 ?

  • Kinetic energy weapons impacting Earth from space could be at least as devastating as nuclear but of course without the fallout/radioactivity...imagine a large meteor or even an asteroid being directed at the planet...not pretty...

  • Perhaps you would like to announce the number of celestial humans killed if this adventure really took place? Our Moon has it's own population of peaceful celestials. The killing must stop.

    Dabe, Dave Stacey, aka doowop62

  • I'm sorry... I don't understand what you are trying to say.

  • beleive it or not .. This money Tax could it been use to cure your families illnes.. or donate it to save the World......Please use the money Tax Wicely....if you can't do shit for our Earth ? leave other planets alone....!!!

  • wicely? beleive? STFU.

  • we need a class action for Lunar Land Owners to fight this blatant act of aggression upon our peaceful community

  • bullfrog11758 said it best.cudos bullfrog cudos.

  • just wondering what the cost was.and not in a good way.

  • 79 million to taxpayers

  • im ok with my taxes going to the childrens cancer treatment center

  • The day this happened it started to rain right when my mother and i were talking about it, i looked over and said "Damn NASA popped the freaking moon!!"

  • Did anyone see it?

  • Better not have hit my yard.

  • well thats a bunch of bull they should have taken sample's when they landed they first time why why why have we never been back ?

  • Lol going on the moon was hard enough back then, I dont tink it dawned on anyone that landing was not only hard enough, but also bringing the right tools to dig deep enough for water wouldve even made the mission that much harder? o_O

They probably brought rock samples from the surface, but water is deep thats why they cant get samples right straight from the surace -.-

  • i like that move you make now after oil runs out then you hunt for h3 on moon then you can bomb moon and get helium 3 out and send it back to earth great job there

  • Wherever Theres Water Theres Life . . .

  • Not necessarily.

  • No really it is.

  • Nope, your wrong. It has to be liquid water, not ice. You can't sustain life in ice because the temperature is below freezing obviously, so there isn't life on the Moon. Which brings me on to my next point, where the temperature has to be in the ideal range for life to exist. The closest place in which we believe there may be life is in our Solar System, is a moon orbiting Jupiter where it is believed there may be liquid water beneath an icy surface, it's called Europa.

  • Life AS YOU KNOW IT!

You can't make any claims on what the ideal environment for life to exist.

Only reason we look for fluent water and conditions close to those on earth, is because it's the only example we know of.

And life can exist below zero.

  • I'm not making "claims", they're facts. For life to exist anywhere you need liquid water and an ideal temperature. I doubt we are going to find Martians living amongst the stars, sucking on helium and eating rocks, it would never happen because you need liquid water and an ideal temperature. Even bacteria cannot live without those two necessity's.

  • The fact that you say that you know what conditions are need for life to exist, shows that you know absolutely nothing about what you are talking about.

Nobody cares what you doubt! It's irrelevant.

You clearly don't even understand how diverse live is even on earth. Life exists here in the most extreme conditions.

And still, that is only life AS WE KNOW IT!

Don't come back until you educated yourself a little about what fact means.

  • I know fully well about how diverse life is here on Earth, I know life exists here even in the most extreme conditions. Your accusations have no back bone, obviously thought up in the hope of offending me somehow with no evidence to back them what so ever.

So you keep living in your little dream land my senile friend, and as long as you don't go spreading nonsense (which you just clearly have) i have no objections.

  • You sound dumber and dumber every time you post.

If you can't even understand that nobody here on earth can know what conditions are needed for life, then there's not much hope for you.

You won't find any scientist claiming any of the retarded stuff you are claiming, because it's retarded and unscientific.

    Again, go to school.

  • I'm studying a degree at Lincoln University in Biomechanics, so I like to think I'm educated enough. Yet again you seem hell-bent on offending me, most likely as an outcome of realizing you're going nowhere with your claims. I suggest you do some research on this topic and then come back with an intellectual reply, because until then I'm just going to be laughing at you in anticipation of what your going to say next.

    So go on, entertain me...

  • Again, LIFE AS YOU KNOW IT!!!

And what claims are you talking about? I am not the one coming with claims here. You are, and I am telling you that it's things that you cannot know anything about.

The ONLY thing you can do, is study life AS WE KNOW IT!

There is nothing to come with, about life as we don't know it, since we don't know it. And hence, you cannot claim anything about the conditions needed for life.

We only have ONE example life, and that's here on earth.

  • You do make a good point, theres no denying that. But until I do see some evidence of life existing without the elements we need here on Earth, I'm always going to be a sceptic.

  • What makes it even harder, is that you need to define what life is!

  • Life is defined as something that replicates itself. Regardless of how simple it is.

  • That's not true. There is no specific definition of life. Different branches of science may have lose definitions that they use, but that's it.

  • Comment removed

  • Ok, you truly a a complete dimwit. On Earth it's impossible to sustain life with just ice. You are correct on THAT PART.

You can't say crap of whatever else can be out there.

  • Or maybe your the "dimwit" for thinking otherwise. In my eyes you definitely are. Stick to commenting on Runescape videos, child.

  • theres life in mars becuase theres definetely water found there right :)

  • Comment removed

  • It is an established fact that there is H2O on Mars. Not a lot but it is there. The polar caps do contain H20.

Their position is to find evidence of bacteria.

  • Water is not the only thing needed for life. We need an environment with a combination of things in order for that to happen. This is why we are so intent on studying life on Earth where it was once believed impossible. It helps us to figure out where to look for life in our solar system rather than just guessing.

  • ohhh those poor fishes over there

  • LOL!!!

  • Imagine they detect cheese in the debris

  • Thats the greatest thing about YouTube; you can always count on all of the arm chair generals and scientists to leave their "expert" opinion on the topic.

  • Maybe so, but it does show we have a lot of ignorance out there which must be fixed. Ignorance is easy, we're all ignorant of something. Stupidity is forever. Those people I can't help.

  • Instead of using a high speed projectile why didn't they use a drill concept.

  • We tried on the Apollo missions. It ended up being a lot harder than we anticipated and the drill kept getting stuck. The regolith on the moon is pretty nasty stuff and then I think we hit rock (not sure).

  • Thanks.

  • i have spoken to one of the most famous nasa scientists to ask him the truth about mars and if there was life on the planet the reply i got was astounding it was to much to take in and his reply was da dhaaaaaaaa dhaaa i just could not comprehend this mans amazing brain

  • @ all the morons saying space doesn't matter...

we live in it, so yes, it does matter. there are planets and stars that are trillions of times the size of the sun, which makes us almost nothing. so if anything is "pointless" or "useless", it's us.

we need as much knowledge of space as we can get, it holds the secret to everything.

so why not see what it has to offer us?

  • Professors can we PLEASE STOP ARGUING.. WE ALL KNOW THAT YOU ARE Geniuses who know all.. Sure Geniuses who misspell words and all.. But GENIUSES non the less..

  • i quote "should humans ever have a lunar colony" are you fucking serious?? they say religion is full of baloney, but these scientists sometimes i tell ya!

  • Wow, now there is one feminist butch representing NASA.

  • That's my wife and we're not associated with NASA at all. In fact, we are not associated with any space agency be it private or public. We are space enthusiasts who are trying to educate the planet on the values of human space flight.

  • we missed up the earth now we move on the moon if there is a life wat will they call us attacker ?or...

  • Uh, we didn't move the moon. Those GIANT impact craters on the moon you can see with your naked eye here from Earth... Yeah, those are impact craters from natural hits and they didn't mess up our moon. How is this single pebble in a pond going to cause any change in the moon whatsoever?

Try this experiment: Throw a small pebble in a lake or ocean. Wait 30 seconds and see if it causes a Tsunami. If not, you have now replicated the impact of LCROSS.

  • couldnt have put that better myself!!! some people were dropped off with the mornings milk!

  • Everybody who is for space exploration should have to pay out of their own pockets for it!! If not return the tax money to the real economy and let people use it for things they want.

Who says the scientists know what is good or useful in this world?

How many people actually read NASA reports?

How many people can actually describe the space program and what it has accomplished?

NASA is a multi-trillion dollar discovery channel program

    zzzzzz...

  • Got a few details wrong there.

    - NASA only gets 18 Billion per year. That is less than 1% of our federal budget. Doesn't even make a dent in it. Nowhere close to trillions.

    - What is this stuff useful for? A few things that have come out of space programs including NASA are: satellites for detecting weather and weather change (saving hundreds of thousands of lives), water recycling systems they can recycle 99% of water from sweat, pee, etc., and more than my YouTube character count allows for.

  • You are an uneduacted moron

    dlwhorton1879. And retarded to boot.

  • You're education really shows in this post. I bet you don't know a damn thing about space. But I know about economics, and I know that the time and effort spent on space exploration is inneficient, and would be far more productive here on earth.

And I know that it is wrong to tax people who don't care about space and make them pay. Space was taught to you in public education so you are programmed to think it is important but its not.

  • I don't care about healthcare since I get it from my company. Should I be paying for Medicare to keep people here on Earth alive?

That is a very idealistic view of the world. Sure we can stop taxing people for the discoveries science brings us. We can pull the funding for these programs. Then we can ship them, along with your job (no matter what sector you work in) overseas along with it. We are a technological civilization now and with that comes change. Change we have to pay for :)

  • Anybody that thinks the space program has been a multi trillion dollar program doesn't deserve more of a reply. I didn't learn about space exploration in school. I was born before the dawn of Sputnik. Get your head out of your ass.

  • Thanks to the space program we have satellites. I am sure you make use of those satellites. Take cable TV for example.

There are also all the other technological developments that came from space programs.

Exploring space is well worth it. But given the deficit, NASA should put it's more costly projects on hold for a while.

  • the irony in your sentence is overwhelming.

you can't even spell "uneducated" correctly, so don't try to insult people with that word.

  • You can't tell the difference between a typo and a misspelling. You aren't worth debating.

  • i realy hate people who say they should use the money on something usefull. You guys are idiots to think space is not usefull. And or the moon.

  • What! NASA's not blowing up the moon! What the fuck are we paying them for? I'm sick of seeing all these Sci-Fi movie moon explosions and such. I wanted the real thing.

  • HAHA, nothing happen, NASA FAIL, UFO WIN.

I guess they have no problem kicking NASA's crappy lame rockets in to the junk pile.

    waste of $...

  • I'm just waiting for the conspiracy nutcases to claim that the impact has changed the moon's orbit.

Oh, I better not give them ideas. :)

  • i find it funny i was always told in school the moon was made up of rock and dust, now all the sudden they belive theres water on it lol

  • crashing things on earth.. that's pretty much like still blowing up the moon! lol but no matter, i would love to learn very soon about the result and hopefully next year, you can announce to the world that all of us can have safe free travel to mars and the moon and give us options to live there.. lmao.

  • Sensationalizing something to the point it's misunderstood is never a good thing. I doubt NASA needs such pathetic publicity techniques.

However, 98% of those who haven't figured out what really happened and what it was for probably don't really want to.

  • Why don't they spend those billions of dollars to provide clean drinking water for people here on earth that don't have it. Would that make more sense?

  • How comes there have no CC (closed caption) on youtube video? I am deaf, for crying aloud!

  • We have not updated the CC data yet as it is still being timed. Once that is complete we will update the CC data to YouTube.

  • Much publicity of the United States this is a falsification.Shit

  • one other comment to be made about this experiment is the chance for nasa to save alot of money in water transport costs. One litre of water costs $22,000 to take into space

  • your accent gives me headache

  • I watched the impact, noting to see

  • I bet if they find water, they are going to build a refuling station and water powered rockets to get to mars easier! I cant wait!

  • ha ha if hey actually found water i bet they will start making colonies but if they dont i will laugh hard hahahahaha!!!

  • If there is water then what is the next step? There is no next step and it was an expensive experiment with little to show for it.

  • The next step is to begin colonizing the moon near the water. A pinch of research may do you good here. Not only is there a next step, but it has far reaching ramifications for our future as humans in space.

  • That sounds all nice but is there really enough water to sustain life? How much water can there be if you have to do an experiment like this just to determine if there is any water at all? I don't see how this does us any good. If we are going to advance our future in space it will take much bigger breakthroughs than determining if the is water on th
