Just a CURIOUS NON ARAB here. I thought Alah was supposed to be spelled ALLAH with 2 L's ? Or can it be spelled both ways ? And why do Arabs have NUMBERS as letters,mixed in with letters ? ! So Arab Christians really do call God "ALLAH", how do you keep the Christian God ( the Holy Trinity) apart from the "ALLAH" that the Muslims worship ? the reason for the numbers is that there are letters in arabic that do not have an english counterpart so the numbers are used for their similar apearance, for example a 3 is used in place of the letter ein (a sound made by the throat). Allah is simply the arabic word for God, not the muslim God. So it is perfectly fine for a christian to use the word Allah

They can read it from the arabic letters but we dont have such letters.

So they put in numbers, to show how to prenounce a word.

2. (for anyone else who is wondering) the numbers represent certain letters in teh arabic writing.. it was as close as ppl could get when writing it in letters instead of arabic writing.

Yo, im an Arab Christian. Do not mistake yourself, Christians and Muslims alike worship the same God. Allah just means God in Arabic. Dont believe all the bullshit propaganda about Muslims, we are very similar. Only difference s that they acknowledge Jesus Christ as a Messiah (as do we) but as the Son of God. As for the numerals, we have a rough accent that requires stuff like 3, 2 , 5, 7. 3 for instance, 7 means ha.

Just because it is said in arabic doesn't make it belong to one culture or the other; When we say God to the Jews or God to the Christian, do we not say God? Or do we call Him by a different name? Likewise the Hebrew word for God is Yahweh; Does that mean when someone says Yahweh he can be considered a Jew? Or could he be simply a Hebrew Christian?
