  • Absent was used to help restore the Orlov Rostopchin breed in Russia, awesome stallion

  • The whole performance is incredable but when the newspaper blows under his forehand and he continues uneffected that isn't a Dressage horse it's a "Warhorse" trained as a dressage horse.

  • Akhal - Tekes are my absolute favorite breed. So gorgeous

  • this turkmenistan horse and super . turk ati.!!!!

  • now that is how a piaffe should look

  • beuatiful absoulutly beautiful akhal teke stallion Absent is brilliant

  • Wonderful!! Oh how different to modern dressage!

  • Beautiful - I agree with MarinkaT79 - this is the perfect example of a piaffe. Relaxed, soft, gentle, as stated, without a lot of tension, aggravation, etc. And look at how Absent just glitters in the sunlight, even in black and white. Absolutely stunning. Horsemanship and horses at its finest. :)

  • Wonderful !

  • One doesn't see a piaffe like this nowadays. This is so relaxed, yet almost classically high without cramped movements or lots of tail swishing. I love to watch this (unfortunately shortish) video again and again.

  • this is pure Ahal Teke born in Ahal province in Turkmenistan..

  • I think he was born in Russia but his sire, Arab certainly was born in Turkmenistan

  • PLease tell me wat his show name was! Its for school telll me ASAP

  • Absent

  • Thanx

  • it looks so easy O_O

  • Thanks for posting!

  • Just Spot On!

  • Wonderful

  • Oh, i LOVE absent, my sisters old stallion was his great great grandson or something like that

  • Thanks for posting! Just one thing about your description...He doesn't represent Arab anything, he's TURKMEN. Thousands of miles away, and a completely different breed.

  • My description doesn't mention that he is an Arab is says he represents line Arab. Absent is the son of 26 Arab, the most famous Teké that the Turkmens bred. Arab took part in the 4300km Aschabad-Moscow race in 1935, was the lead horse in the 1945 WW2 victory parade in Moscow & he jumped 2.12m breaking the USSR record for many years.

  • There's a video on my channel of 26 Arab in Moscow & video of the Aschabad-Moscow race as Akhal-Teke 2 on kjsmithurst channel

  • I stand corrected, meek and contrite! Thanks for the info and thanks for the vid. Just my overactive Turkmen pride :-)

  • inspiring....

someday my teke will piaffe like that

  • Woah! What a great horse x

  • This piaffe is probably the best performance I've ever seen. Very inspiring.

  • it's perfect!

  • absolutely perfect!

  • this is the most beautiful and clever horse I have ever seen like that.

  • This horse still holds the record for highest score for an Olympic Dressage Test. The record has held for 40+Years.

  • What was the score???

  • Think it converts to 82.4% in the modern day points system.

  • haw do you teach a horse to piaffe ?

  • Awesome!!!

  • That horse is like WOW. I've never seen a horse that does piaffe so relaxed.

  • Super piaffer!

Non se ne vedono più così!!!!
