  • This album was so much better than their latest one...guys, get Rick Rubin back....whatever he was doing was working

  • Its fucking SLAYER!!!!

  • In my opinion, it's very patchy but has some superb tracks on it.

  • What the fuck's wrong wth people? This album's fuckin awesome, ALL HAIL SLAYER \M/ \M/

  • It's like that mediocre girl next door, you can't help but to like her.

It's raw and powerful, I'll give it that..

  • God Hates Us All was worse than this.

  • @godalful And love to hate sucked

  • Comment removed

  • This album is to dark for people. All the songs are dark, all of them are great. The drums are the best Slayer have recorded, the guitars are dark, heavy, slow and agressive. This is Slayer's heaviest and darkest album and it just put fans of, it was like: whooo, you gone abit to dark their mate.

Any true metal head would realise how this is an outstanding masterpiece of metal!

  • my favourite album! this was the first I heard from them and this is how I fell in love with this music. Genious!!!

  • Ok there is not any Slayer album that I am dissapointed in...And I am not still...SLAYER KICKES SOME MOTHA FUCKIN ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is my favorite Slayer record, actually. It certainly tackles a lot of new styles run through the Slayer sound. I think Screaming From The Sky/Point are my favorites.

  • this album is great!

  • I think it's actually pretty good. I still think that Undisputed Attitude is the ONLY crappy Slayer album. I fn' hate it, except for Gemini :3

  • @thefallenone95 Undisputed Attitude is a solid album, as far as Punk covers go its flawless. Its pure Punk straight from the heart, done so well. I wouldn't compare it to anyother Slayer record.

  • @XXXpallisterXXX I don't like punk, i think that's the reason i despise that album but still, i like Gemini and I hate you :)

  • Definitively my favourite slayer album - and as i said album - there are songs that are better than these here but... most of tracks here are at least good and it flows...

In The Name Of God is my pick but its hard to decide on one - or six :P .

  • This Album Eats Your Banana! Scrum Rules Bitches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This might be their best album. I don't know what their worst would be, but Hell Awaits would be an option. I prefer the modern Slayer.... Bittter Peace is incredible. Death's Head is strong but it extends too long for no reason. Stain of Mind kicks ass. Overt Enemy has a very cool intro! Track 5 is so insanely awesome it could make me run through a wall. In the name of God is excellent. I have always loved Screaming from the Sky. And Point has grown on me so much over time!!

  • They were just trying to be alittle more "dark" with the cover, but, I agree, the older hand painted covers were better by far! My fav, Hell Awaits and South of Heaven.

  • IT"S FUCKING SLAYER!!! FOR CHRIST SAKE!!!

  • It is modern metal album ahead of the time of it's release. kind of similar vibe as Death magnetic/St. Anger...

  • my fav album of FUCKIN' SLAAAAAAAAYEEEEEEER!!!!! >:-D

  • This album is pretty good. Not half the album Divine Intervention or Hell Awaits was, but not bad.

  • this was a great album very underatted

  • The majority of songs are okay... Death's Head, Stain of Mind, Bitter Peace, In the Name of God and Point are definitely my favorites on there... the rest I just skim through.

  • - some of those recording techniques / effects didn't suit em. the nu-metal affect

  • there's poor lyrical content, a 'street-metal' element almost enforced thrash bands were a little disillusioned at that time with the nu- stuff. block'eds latched onto this slayer album - the cover is most un-slayer - pity theres so much patchiness theres some great moments in so many tracks n the recording is great; tom sounded vicious due to holding the mic so he could give it more

  • I like it

  • Ta spaei to diskaki!Mpravo man!

  • ...Much better than WPB. That intro leads from Snuff is something worst I`w ewer heard....

  • I think that Bitter peace is one of their best songs. If you consider Angel of death, hell awaits, Chemical warfare, War ensemble as "THE" Slayer songs, than Bitter Peace is one of them.... But there is a biger number of good songs on this album than on God hates us all or Christ illusion...Bitter peace, Deaths head, Dessire, In the name of god, Scrum, Screaming from the sky and Point. That`s 7 of them...I like only 5 or 6 from GHUA

  • this is my favorite slayer album i was given this as a gift.

  • Great album wtf is wrong with you kids. tHE DEVILS MUSIC HHHAHA

  • Bad Album? Surely Underrated...........fuck people who have jobs as critics. I love this album as well as their others.

I listen to this before gaming

  • Point is my favorite song.. its just a kick ass song

  • I agree with the titel!

  • I kinda have mixed feelings about Diabolus In Musica. The first couple of songs are very good and I appreciated the Hip Hop influenced experiments (King recorded the guitar parts for Beastie Boys Ill in the Head album, so I think he likes Hip Hop). Death Head and Overt Enemy are very powerful songs, too.

However after the first 6 songs or so it begins to weaken. IMHO

  • Probably my favorite Slayer album Overt Enemy is one of my favorite songs of all time

  • Too many people think they HAVE to hate some albums by their favourite band. I fucking love EVERY Slayer album for different reasons. Seriously you can find loads of fucking awesome stuff on every album. Personally I actually like practically every Slayer song. The only song that ive found that I dont like all that much from all the slayer ive listened to, which is a lot, is Love to hate because I think Tom actually did rap a bit and the riff kinda put me off but still good.

  • UNDER-RATED !

  • How the fuck can ANYONE say slayer sucks. Listen to the instrumental alone in the first couple songs, So fucking SICK!!!

  • These tunes can melt your face off

  • This is by far my favorite album.

  • This album is one of my personal favorites by SLAYER.

I liked it far better than Christ Illusion. Good album but it was just a bit too boring for my taste.

I also get sick of people harping on Undisputed Attitude and calling it their worst. Firstly, it's mostly a cover album. It also has two reworked Pap Smear songs (Lombardo and Hanneman's previous project) and an original Slayer song ("Gemini", which sounds fuckin' great). I felt the covers were pretty faithful.

  • this is Slayers worst album (not counting Undisputed Attitude), but its still a great one

its just impossible for SLayer to make a bad album or a bad song, thats why theyre the best metal band of all

  • This is one of my alltimefavs by mighty Slayer. I hate all the narrow-minded metal fans who scream for a second "Raning Blood" all the time.

  • This is a bad ass album...Especially if someone likes slower chunkier riffs.

  • this and show no mercy are their best albums reign in blood is disgustingly overrated

  • @HALOJUNKIE17 Reign in blood is an amazing, fucking amazing album. Its only overrated because it's the only album that emo and scene douchebags or douchebags in general know. It can be debated that it's overrated for slayer but it's still better than any album most bands have ever put out. Hell awaits is their best album though.

  • i remember smoking pot and thrashing to this album. Slayer fukin rules

  • @MetalheadsAbyss

    I've done that many times.

    Still do.

If I get a hold of some and get high tonight, this is on the top of my playlist.

  • Nu Metal!

  • @Wyndrax nu metal? so slayer is the same as limp bizquick or korn?NOT

  • I think this album has more technical playing. I get that feeling from it. I still love it, sound great blasting it out of my truck.

  • I'd say Divine Intervention is their least liked album, though I still love it. This album is the fucking shit. "Death's pointed at your head, your mind's on the triger PULL IT!" Fucking great album.

    \m/ SLAYER \m/

  • @metalisbetter1o00 its my favorite album, but your right, seems to be the least liked one. I have that shit tattooed on me.

  • @metalisbetter1o00 DIVINE INTERVENTION IS FUCKING AWESOME 213 all the way baby

  • This is bad? Bullshit

  • fucking great album.

  • to i dont know about now about BEST album but in the name of god is the BEST song!

  • some albums are bound to be rejected but they just grow up in us like drugs addiction, i used to hate metallica's load, re-load, i used to dislike slayer's diabolus in musica, god **** us of all.... but not anymore. for me slayer's most dark& morbid albums are devine intervention& diabolus in musica.

  • i thought screaming from the sky and overt enemy and bitter peace were good

  • Éste disco es cojonudo, el que diga lo contrario es popi XD (Slayer - Thrash Metal!!)

  • It's not that this was a bad album, personally this is a great album, the problem is that this album seems to lack consistency, which every other slayer album has, some songs are just hardcore, then there are some mellow (for slayer at least) tracks on here. I can't explain it, but there is something that just makes the album not as flashy as the others.

  • "It is known as the worst album this band has made. " Fuck all bastard who say this, this is Slayer's MOST AWESOME ROCORD EVER,and Paul Bostaph FAR BETTER THEN LOMBARDO!!!!!

  • @Xardas877

i think this album is great, but in my opinion its the worst too, still its great

i think that Dave Lombardo is the best drummer today, but Paul Bostaph is one of the best too, i think Slayer are better with Lombardo though

  • god hates us all is there best album

  • You know, I'e called this their worst album, but it's really damn good. Better than divine intervention, about as good as christ illusion (heavier at least). Great stuff, sounds just like Slayer should!

  • @DylanVanella thank you!!!

  • @DylanVanella Divine Intervention is one of their best releases, Bostaph made Slayer a more creative band. Too bad for the production! Diabolus in Musica is good too!

  • Overt enemy is a killer song !!! There is no crime within my minddddddddddddd !!!

  • Bitter Peace,Stain of Mind are my favorites. But Death's Head and Stain of Mind sound alike.

  • totally underrated. Better than divine intervention and to an extent God Hates Us ~All

  • its a good album but in no way is it better than divine intervention. killing fields is beast !!!!

  • diabolus in musica lacks dittohead and classic-feeling songs with modern twists. instead it has modern songs with recognizable elements of their early 90s sound - like hearing about your fav band breaking up then forming a new but similar band. divine intervention is a better slayer album but i personally find diabolus in musica a more catchy 90s metal album, and def underrated. stain of mind and 'bloodline' (God Hates US All) are similar singles - for me Stain of Mind is better. SHIT title tho.

  • @undert8er SS-3

  • slayer are the fucking guys

  • Comment removed

  • no bad at all

  • This is in my opinion the best slayer cd this is when I started to listen to them and got to see them at ozzfest 99 in vancouver at the thunderbird stadium... fucking great and nonstop, as soon as they stopped the one song, they started the other on the exact same note so it seemed ... seen an american with a harsh southern accent, said he waited 10 years to finally see them... so it made me feel even more important.. fuck yeah I was jumping on the mother fucking mosh monkeys

  • Bitter Piece, Desire, In the Name of God, and Wicked are my favs. Alot of people say that this was their worst album...I dont think it was their worst, but I dont think it was their best album...there is no bad Slayer album....

  • This album is rich of variety. I like it because of this. My favourite tracks are Bitter Peace, Stain of Mind, Desire and Scrum.

  • who/what is on the cover?

  • my cd didnt have wicked on it

  • I like Slayer at their most experimental. This album and South of Heaven are best.

  • Congratulations, you don't like Slayer.

  • all the slayer albums are great, someone who doesnt like this album isnt a real fan of their music, i am, cause i think every album is awesome

  • Comment removed

  • An excellent album, severely underrated and one of my favs!

  • Would have been better if they mixed it up a bit, and threw in more really fast parts and more random solos. The fast and slow mixed together is what made South of Heaven so good.

  • Point, overt enemy, Stain of mind and wicked are the best on the album. Desire is a good one to.

  • Stain of Mind is the closest you'll ever heard to Tom Araya rapping.

  • @Wyndrax I thought that honor went to Love to Hate?

  • Nice how they got Scott Ian to pose for the album cover.

  • @Stossburg No way really?!

  • @jaguilar7643 Nahh, I was just making a (bad) joke... ;-).

  • @Stossburg damn i almost believed it to i was like...hm he shaved his beard lawlz but no it was a good joke

  • This album,Seasons in the Abyss & Hell Awaits are tied as Slayer'z best albumz! They demonstraight Slayer'z ability 2 evolve.

Cause after all if they did they same old shit in every fuckin album, what the fuck would have been the point of any new albumz after Reigh In Blood?

  • Could you please stop typing like a fucking nigger?

Also, this album sucks balls. Bitter Peace is the only metal song in the whole damn thing.

  • this album is extremly good.

  • how th fuck do idiots think god hates us all is there worst album

Disciple, god send death , threshold , exile , warzone , payback come on....... fucking morons.... probably think just because it wasen't made in 1986 that it isin't good.....plz tell me at least why god hates us all is there worst , and a valid reason plz , not "it's nu-metal durrrgh" ,

  • Well, if you like Nu Metal, there's not much I can say to convince you.

  • Point. End of story. Best song ever.

  • This album lacks a lot of what I love about Slayer though----mainly speed, and straight forward (no weird production tricks) execution.

I think the stink of Limp Bizkit had infected even the best of true metal back then. Just think: What shitty shit was Metallica working on when this album was recorded?

  • NOT a bad album....but not the best Slayer album...

My favorites Slayer albums are Hell Awaits and Seasons in the Abyss...

  • @ASHBYHAYNES yeaaaah HELL AWAITS!!! \,,/

  • LOOOOOOVE Death's Head. Easily BEST Slayer song EVER!

  • this album got me in slayer sooo enough said....

  • very very underrated album, im glad someone brought this up, i love all slayer albums, the classics are always great but this album has so much depth and feeling its rediculous.

  • I never understood why this album was so hated.

  • in my opinion this album is god , but slayer reign in blood is the sound of hell...

    hail slayer!!

  • the best album is Reign in Blood

full stop, book closed, end of story

  • in your opinion... end of story

  • Slayer caved in to trend on this one and on God Hates Us All. I sold 'em both. Bitter Peace is the only good song on this album that also feels like a true Slayer.

  • forgot about point...

  • Nu Metal.

  • "Diabolus in musica" and "G0d hates Us All" are the best Slayer albums. Christ Illusion sucked azz.

  • You're a Nu Metal fan, and don't understand the first thing about Slayer, or metal.

  • Nu Metal? So those 2 albums are nu metal? you're an idiot. Christ Illision had few good tracks but the quality of the cd was so crappy, they sounded like some new band that just formed and didnt have the money to record in a real studio with real producers. I don't even know what's nu metal is.. Is that Limp Bizkit or Linkin Park where they have hard guitar riffs and some guy raps at the same time? haha

  • I never said Christ Illusion was good.

And yes, those two albums are pretty good examples of Nu Metal music.

  • i still trust in Slayer to keep making great music, even after them trying some new things here and there over the past 25 + fucking years !!!

  • Wow dude thats a hit below the belt. Slayer kicked the worlds ass with this album and with all thier other ones.

  • This is a fucken awesome album. Slayer havn't made a bad album yet.

  • Best songs from Slayer in my opinion

    1.) Black Magic

    2.) Raining Blood

    3.) South Of Heaven

    4.) Haunting the Chapel

    5.) Kill Again

  • Where the fuck are Die By The Sword and Angel Of Death?

  • sorry for bad english xd

  • really good!

  • whats wrong with slayer now is they think they can get away with un-complex riffs that are shit easy to play (mostly)

and aslong as they sound hard and heavy, and fast here and then, people will think they are still "br00t4l !111!!1"

  • this cd is great. absolutely not there best but its a great album. i dont know why so many people hate it. and god hates us all was a near perfect album, too IMO. way too underrated for how good it is

  • @TheLastOneStanding5 just like metallica and megadeth

metallicas st anger was still good

    megadeths risk was ok

slayers diabolus in musica was great and plus it has my favorites slayer song Stain of Mind

  • For me The Best Song of th album is "screaming for the sky" it sounds like a satanic march

  • 1. Hell Awaits

    2. Show No Mercy

    3. Reign In Blood

    4. Season in the Abyss

    5. Christ Illusion

    6. Diabolous in Musica

    7. South of Heaven

    8. Divine Intervention

    9. (and their only shitty album) God Hates us All

  • I'd say the first album would be South of Heaven. Love that shit.

  • First album was Reign in Blood. God Hates Us All was good. Don't forg et Christ illusion AND Their new album

  • You don't like South Of Heaven? =(

  • are you kidding?

south of heaven was an amazing masterpiece of thrash.

christ illusion was the shittest album by slayer

  • When I first listened to this album I didn't like it, but...now it's starting to grow on me :)

  • Staind of Mind is Pretty Awesome

  • How the heck would this be an underrated album, it is probably the album that has got the higher volume of great songs compared to the other albums.

  • 1. Seasons In The Abyss

    2. South Of Heaven

    3. Reign In Blood

    4. Christ Illusion

    5. Show No Mercy

    6. God Hates Us All

    7. Hell Awaits

    8. Diabolus In Musica

    9. Divine Intervention

Let's hope "World Painted Blood" Will be awesome too! (Slayer's upcoming album, duh)

  • Nu Metal.

  • HUGE SLAYER FAN HERE. But...This CD is CRAP

  • i got bitter peice stuck in my head!

    (which is a good thing!!!!)

  • Bitter peace is one of slayer's best songs imo. Perversions of pain and point are good songs too, but i don't really like the other songs of this album.

  • One of the best Slayer albums In my opinion :)

Older ones rule too, but this is great as well :)

  • This ALBUM RULES

    YOU COULD SAY IT KILLS

    IT IS AWESOME.

IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT YOU PROBABLY SHOULDN'T LISTEN TO SLAYER YOU SHOULD

SIT IN SILENCE AND LISTEN TO BACH OR LISTEN TO YOURSELF BREATH.

I don't listen to much metal. but i can remember when i did and my first two albums were raining blood and seasons in the abyss.

i would fall asleep listening to them when i was in elementary school, but i got this albums a few years in when i was in Maryland

this brings back so many good memories i loveit

  • Bach is far better than any metal band, except Rhapsody.

  • this is my first time hearing this album. i gotta say it sounds awesome, there old stuff is different yeah, but come on, this really isn't so bad, alot is expected from slayer so its easy to pic faults in their newer stuff. think about it!!

  • This editing is a great idea. Every band should do this.

  • good work atheist

  • Nu Metal.

  • i like the album cover its disturbing

  • Its not bad at all i like it! but in a way Its dark and you need to listen closely to get the hidden riffs

  • It's not bad, but bad by Slayer's standard which is usually epic.

    It's just under Seasons.

  • Seasons is awesome? =)

  • I love Wicked!!

  • i love slayer and there sure as hell isnt anything wrong with this album...if it all sounded the same theyd be the darker heavier ac/dc, we dont need that

  • fanboys... this is nu gay shit...

  • this album known as a unique record, actually it's my best album from slayer, and the reason of why they dont play many of this album live, that's because they have hundreds of songs.

and btw these are my favorite song parts u've choosed there.

  • You're a Slipknot fan, aren't you?

    Poser.

  • yeah, i am

but WTF does this have to do with anything?

  • hella underrated. i love this fucking album

  • This album is badass. I don't know everyone acts like its so diferent from their other stuff. =/

Bitter Peace is my Favorite >=D

  • This, my friends, is called being deaf.

Seriously, compare this to Show No Mercy. Are you fucking nuts?

  • Wrost Slayer album.

  • i fucking love point. I can listen to point for like hours on end. And maybe all day if I'm playing a fps any fps.

  • I love this album one of my favorites

  • in my opinion i think this isnt bad, mostly people say it is underrated i will say is underratedish cause i dont think its bad and yet i love slayer

  • This is one great album, they all have different moods of anger and attitude. Musically its one of the best. Better and more creative that others who lasted this long. Slayer rules/../

  • I think this album kicks serious ass! I'm a die hard Slayer fan, and the album I least listen to is Divine Intervention - it has some great tracks, but it never really amazed me. I'd place God hates much higher than rugterwyper did. Admittedly, some songs are just plain thrashing and screaming (Exile, Threshold), but others (Seven Faces, Bloodline, Disciple, New Faith) feel so great to listen to it makes more than up for that. Just my opinion, of course. Rock on!

  • totaly underrated

  • The best Slayer album.

  • really it depends on the way you look at slayer

i personally dont think its their best. it has a different feel. and i understand why you would think its the best.

but i think south of heaven just owns it all

  • this pwns its not bad

  • it is not bad album at all,i remember to be hooked on it at that time. maybe they were slightly influenced by NU metal which was the IN music at that time. one thing is sure for me: it awakens the evil in me.

  • South of Heaven, Seasons in the Abyss and Christ Illusion are their best. Then Reign in Blood, then Hell Awaits, after that Show No Mercy, then this (Best of the Bostaph era, IMO), then Divine Intervention and far behind God Hates Us All (Not only does it suck lyrically, but musically it was half great songs, the other half was mediocre to no end or just plain old bad and took it down by a lot). This album is seriously underrated, what damages it is repetitive songs at times. And Desire.

  • fuckin hell man i think at one part your talkin crazy, next you make your own opinions different
