I dont see why the stopped having backwards-compability for PS2 games on the 80gb version. I want to buy a PS3, and i have a lot of PS2 games, but i have to find a 60gb version to play them. And finding one is impossible.

how about adding stuff to the new ps3 editions instead of making them worse, sony?

It does, although It uses an emulator instead of the emotion chip found in the 20 and 60gb american/japanese models

i have a 40gb it does play ps1. i got the megaman x collection yesterday thinking that it would play on my ps3. it didnt. i was so pissed. i was told that you had to update the firmware on the ps3 to play ps2 games. what a bunch of crap. i really dont wana spend 150 to buy a ps2....

Just thought I`d try recording a good race I had in GT3 with the video function on my camera.

PS2 games are pretty much the same on the PS3 but upscaled to fit a large LCD screen as opposed to a tube style TV set.

Richard burns rally for the PS2 in not so good on the PS3 but can be improved using variouse set-ups on the PS3.

Can take a cam shot of that if some ones interested.
