This is impossible. the direction of the second clay pigeon was completely different from the first (when the position of the pigeon launcher never changed). Additionally, the pigeon is launched at over 65mph. That ball, even if shot at that speed (assuming it somehow caught up to the pigeon), would not have enough impulse to break the pigeon in mid air. At most it would push the pigeon and not break it.
