first of all, it has been already stated how he wasnt miming, when he spoke to the security guard, and for people who dont know music, the reason there is the backing song, is because there are small parts that are played with his voice changed digitally, which u cannot do simply through a mic, so they added that in. kinda like what every artist does in that scenario. and considering everything thats gone on with his life right now, to even be able to get up in public and perform, is huge!

In a recording studio they sing over their own voices to create a harmony, singing live makes that impossible (you can't sing a harmony on your own can you!!)
