The problem is not in being Gay. It is doing what God as not given and going out of those bounds that will hurt us eventually. Telling the truth is not bullying. Fire, recessions, wars, plagues hurt a lot more when they come because of wickedness.

@domipurcell I was simply making a correction and suggesting them to research more about the church so they could become a more informed individual. I don't consider myself to be someone who "causes the hate" if anything, I do my best to "love thy neighbor as thyself." People are free to stand up against any cause, establishment, religion, government, ect but when the protest or disagreement is fueled by wrong or inaccurate facts/information... how can the individual or group be justified.

Of course it's natural. LGBT people do not choose to experience the feeling they do. As this video demonstrates, same sex attraction is very hard for many people. Why would anyone make such a choice? For gay people, same sex feelings are perfectly natural and can lead to the same sorts of wonders (and problems) that straight people experience.

@Sulamith -I am very aware of the history of Mormons. I am not uneducated about the subject, as you say, but that's not the issue here. You said the church sticks its nose in too many issues that affect non-LDS people, I can't think of one that doesn't affect LDS as well as non-LDS people. We are affected by homosexuality as much as non-LDS. Why don't we have the right to fight for what we believe? It's not the church that "sticks its nose in", it's the people that believe it and uphold it.

Right on HRC! If the Mormons are so "pro family" then why are there so many homeless youths in Utah who have been thrown out of their homes because they are Gay. Gay suicides have been happening within the Mormon church for decades. Shame on the Mormon church, you should love ALL your children.

Are you denying this happens, that gay kids have been left homeless, that there have been young mormons who have committed suicide because of the intollerant preachings from your chuch? The problem here is not one bigoted Mormon, it's religion as a whole that has continually bashed the LGBT community. When people can learn to overcome the lies of Christianity itself (and other hate-mongering faiths), we can begin to heal. I personally can't think of anything more counter-revolutionary than a gay Christian or a gay Mormon or gay Catholic.

It's time to rise above the mythology, superstition and plain NONSENSE of religion so that we can heal properly.

HRC needs to care about this group, but many/most of the adherents take what these leaders say as their god's word, and thus not only *think* in line, but *act*. The LDS church has standards that they preach and members should live by. I disagree. Polygamy, as introduced by your prophet, Joseph Smith, was outlawed. I think that was a good thing. Like I said, educate yourself on the history of Mormonism. That cult was never looked highly upon.

There are so many bigots freely attacking gays all over the world, therefore this kind of actions are needed indeed; people to see there are people (gay & str8) that care about LGBT.

I wish the biology of being LGBT would get more attention, rather than the 'god made us this way' argument. Biology is something that is probably unhealthy, in this instance, to try to overcome. Biology is NOT a CHOICE! As an atheist and agnostic, I don't believe any gods play a role in anything whatsoever. I understand the need to 'speak on their level' and what not, but I'd rather focus on facts and evidence - UNBIASED facts and evidence, that is :-P

It just sucks that only ten percent of our nation is gay and therefore cannot be equally represented in congress. That also makes the LGBT community not one that politicians would really want to or need to pander to. There aren't enough LGBT votes to matter to a politician.

Meanwhile, LGBT community is responsible for so many of our society's positive aspects, art, music, science, even politics, that it is to our detriment as a society to ignore their needs.

@bearchewtoy75 because it's not just the mormons, it's to get national and/or global attention in order to end the hate and discrimination against the LGBT community. being in the LGBT community is not a crime, nor does it mean you are not human or have no rights. This packer guy is basically saying anyone that is LGBT should be lynched and tortured and killed and sadly alot of people follow that same hate filled way of thinking. HRC is trying to get justice and fix the problem.
