  • ha, I remember when I was in my first year of beginning band(7th grade), I was playing a song, and having difficulty playing a note, my band director was like "Man, you're playing the right note, but you have the wrong valves pressed!" I had bent the pitch down a half-step without knowing it!(I'm still only a freshman in high-school now)

  • @Spear810

ha! Nice. Means you have good ears....

  • @jharnum Not necessarily... he could've just used a false fingering. That will be the wrong fingering and slightly out of pitch.

  • @TechnicallyDevious

yeah, great point! Lots of times the alt fingering works better

Like using 1-2 on the 4th space E (slightly sharp but you can extend a trigger to get it in tune) instead of open, which is horrendously flat (as is the Eb and D in the same area).

  • Great video, as always....

  • lol

the sound is one of the following:

    1. the right channel is delayed a little pitch, and a ambience is added to both speakers

    2. the right fase is the inverted fase of the left's.

    I bet the 2.

  • the sound on this video is so weird! it's scary. cool video and very helpful
