  • Amazing lyrics.

  • The music in some of his ballads truly reminds me of a Johnny Cash incarnate. Something about Morrissey in his delivery. Keeps true to the ruggedness of Cash and brings his own flavor to the issues of our humanness and needs. In age, resembles him???

  • I love him so bad.

  • @MissusFingerBottom Just came to watch it after I got done with it for a second time. I know a sequel wouldn't especially go good with it, but damn it left me hungry for more...

  • let me in wasn't terrible but it was pointless. The original book and film are fantastic and so is this song!

  • 1:32 <3

  • Shame I can't edit that, what I like is at 1:30 actually. It's good to know he keeps informed.

  • Great montage of Moz's awesomeness, thanks!

  • I just finished the book "Let the right one in" . it's brilliant, like the Swedish film.

  • Everytime I watch this video I get an idiotic grin and a pleasant feeling in my panties hehe (;

  • @TrishaEstra i wanna play perv right now and say "YES!!! now let me slip down there with that feeling!"

  • @carlo88moe hahahahahaha :p

  • The man is a legend!=]

  • Nice video :)

  • morrissey is the king of youtube.

  • I had the impression this video was about Morrissey....Strange how one can be so easily deluded.

    Nice montage, by the bye.

  • YOU ARE THE ONE FROM ME.........

  • @Heshan84 yeah i live in fear of 'Let Me In' the title obviously missing the point already.

Let the Right One In was amazing.

  • @erootkwu Let me in is removie some major subplots like Eli's catasration and Hakan's liking of hildren. Even though the original film didnt have that they still hinted that Eli was a boy and Hakan was a pedo and to me it looks like the producer is in more in control of this film thanthe director himself

  • @thedarknight307 Both points seemed obvious to me. The only way Im seeing it is if they actually include Tommy from the book. What the book author said is he didn't want ''Let me in'' to be based on the movie, but rather in the book, so they would way more different movies. But according to the trailer, it seems it is a more ''action'' version of the sweddish movie. Unimaginative Americans...

  • @AnonymouslyElected I recently watched the trailer and your right this version does look like a more action version. *sigh* But still the only casting i like is for eli and hakan in this remake. Mortez was good as eli in the trailer and Jenkins well he is a amazing actor who is perfect for the role. he kinda looks like the swedish actor from the orignal. Also i seen some pics of the move and scene. To my knowledge they may include a nightmare scene or a flashback scene for abby.

  • For a fanvid, this is really amazing! Great job

  • He is a great singer and has amazing song *sighs* where has all the good music gone lately

  • sexy morrissey xxxxxxx

  • why is it mozza gets all this in depth nonsense, when he is one of the most funniest guys in the world, can he get the joke perhaps?????????????

  • Off Wikipedia, "The American version is called Let Me In because the publishers requested that Lindqvist change the title as they believed it was too long"

    Seriously?

  • false. i'm american, and we've never seen it called by another name.

  • I know. I'm American, too.

"Let Me In" is the American remake set for release in 2010. They're not just renaming it; they're remaking it. Look it up.

  • books have very long title like harry potter an percy jackson

  • damn!!

I very love that film and novel, too.

    Fuck Hollywood remakes, too!!

    They'll blacken this film!!

  • You're right. Why would they remake such a great movie huh? Is it because of money?

  • Fuck Hollywood and their ugly Remakes!!! I love the Original Movie, it´s fantastic.

American Plasticheads without new ideas!!! Fuckin´Thiefs!!

When come the Remake of "District 9" ?

    Maybe thats the new clou?!!?

  • @salamigeist you really should not pigeonhole an entire nation based on a few short sighted people. You wind up not looking as clever as you may think; despite the "thumbs up" bullshit.

  • @salamigeist It wasnt a remake, it was more of an adaption of the book. Yes there is a difference. And it was pretty good imo.

  • @silentbob8201

Don't worry, salamigeist never seen that movie, he don't need.

He KNOWS that is ugly, because it's cool to say "i love the original, you don't understand".

  • @salamigeist

I think that is impossible to explain to people like you why they remkae some movie.

Oh yeah, you will say "it's for the money!" - but everyone do something for something.

Take you, for example. You say these things only to give yourself "an attitude": it's cool to say "fuck hollywood, fuckin' thiefs!"" or not?

By the way, i loved the original movie, but there is no reason to hate a new version that possibly will be seen by more people.

  • people shouldn't watch the remake so that hollywood stops stealing ideas just because has the money.

  • The American remake will be awful.

  • Does anyone know if they will use this in the American film of Let Me In? Even if they aren't, I'm really looking forward to that movie.

  • Let Me In is a swedish film xD

  • Let the Right One In is the English title for the Swedish film, Låt den Rätte Komma In, based on John Ajvide Lindqvist's book of the same name.

there's going to be an American remake of it called Let Me In, due for release in 2011.

  • why make a remake of a new film :S

  • How many blacks in Sweden 1980s...... NONE!!!

    (and no im not racist)

  • I'm guessing that's a joke, Thaddeus ;-P

  • not politically correct but fun at least ... I'm not black but italian and if it were about italians i'd have laughed anyway :)

  • I know. It's one of my favorite movies. But they're remaking it in America next year, and it'll be directed by Matt Reeves. That's the one I was asking about, since the Swedish one didn't use the song.

  • Im reading his biography at the moment entitled morrissey scandal and passion. Its really interesting he is aniconic legend and he ismy favourite singer he is just so amazing i have every smith song and im working on morrisseys solo to get all of them as well

  • The Swedish one was fantastic, I really loved it. Yes I have my doubts about the remake but I'm prepared to give Matt Reeves a chance rather than scorn him before he makes it.

  • We all know it will suck, but I admire your open mindedness.

  • Great song and video! Thank you

  • The Moz Fans on the Vespa Piaggio

  • Nice tribute.

  • He is a GOD!!

  • Not a god, he is the ONLY god in my religion.

  • excelente trabajo!: gracias!!

  • yea, just watched "let the right one in", amazing vampire film: a haunting and insightful film! doubt the american version of the film will be better than the swedish one!

  • OMG totally agree.

  • @Heshan84 Yes...wonderful movie and word had it the sequel to the film will be named LET THE OLD DREAMS DIE

  • @PHANTASTIKMUSIK that is rumored to be the name for the sequal of the book

  • @Heshan84 I agree. Read the book and saw the movie, and it obviously be a 3/5 at best movie.

  • I looked this up after I heard that let the right one in was named for it. I love that movie.

  • yeh same, great movie

  • same goes here

  • An awing; wonderful; impressive video.

  • And, of course, superior job, love the song and the video, thanks theghostofzappa!! ;)

  • Yep, the tension, excitement and -REAL- emotion that "good" American Studios (with capitals, you see?) just can't reach or found by themselves (so they're always looking around for some successful foreign movie they can adapt for the outside-closed-minded american cinemas) because they're a bunch of DICKHEADS who aren't interested in critics, art, made a good movie or anything else but MAKE MORE MONEY

  • AKA The people who actually know something about films. Great film.

  • Great job.

  • I wish Morrissey would release this on itunes. Such a good song - kids should hear this now. Of course not all pop music is shit. Great music is great music.

  • Yeah, the movie is great, and so the book. And the song.

  • The movie is amazing the way it is. It is near perfect in my opinion. It is sad that there is going to be a remake in english which will never be as moving as the original.

  • You never now. I don't think it will be, but maybe you never know

  • go pop music!

  • pop?

  • Yeah, this is a great pop record... that's ok. Not all pop music is shit! Morrissey doesn't make alot of pop but this is perfect pop, coming in under 3 mins!

  • Thanks, good to hear the song again, nice video, Morrissey is brilliant.

Don't worry about YouTube commenters. It's well known that this is the lowest level of discourse on the whole internet. Doesn't mean everyone is an idiot.

  • Very interesting how this song inspired the book (and now vampire movie). I suppose that's a measure how influential Morrissey's work is -

If an American remake must be made (and I don't really understand why it is so,but that's just me) then I agree it would be nice to have this song with the ending credits - I Love the film.

  • why is there a Hollywood remake to this movie?..

...cause the original writer SOLD the rights for more money then is humanly possible.

    cha ching cha ching

  • You're an idiot. There isn't any Holloywood remake of Let The Right One In. It's a Swedish film

  • Comment removed

  • There is an American version of the book being made. It's not a remake of Alfredson's film. It will be a re-adaptation of the novel.

  • exactly.

  • There is one on the way though

  • that's his decision to make. he did write it after all. perhaps the american adaptation will be cool, and include [maybe even focus] on the parts that were completely left out of the swedish adaptation [which i love]. i'm not holding my breath, honestly. but still, don't knock the author for distributing his property as he sees fit.

  • And haha, sorry for that, theghostofzappa. The video is pretty good. Thinking of the vamp movie just gets the song stuck in my head, so I was disappointed that it wasn't actually used in it.

  • Selling the novel rights to a film is no way a garantee that the film will be made. In fact most aren't and the author only gets a lot of money if the film is made -and that is a decision of the film company. Vampire novels and films are now popular with teens, I understand all the money aspects of it. I just think it's quite sad that a great movie has to have an American remake. why not let the audience see the original movie and use the money of this remake to shoot some orginal scripts?

  • niceeeeee tnx

  • Nice compilation of images and pictures... Thanks

  • good song and an impact on a totally awesome movie :)

  • thinking about the movie [i assume you mean 'let the right one in' made in the framework of the book by the same name] and the song together adds meaning to both. which is rare and fucking brilliant!

  • yes, I mean Let the Right One In and I agree 100 % with your post

  • right on. nothing beats morrissey and the touching story of the first love of a 12 year old sociopath and a 200 year old castrato! haha :)

  • haha, yes. oh, what a scary film.

  • but what a amazing film too =]

  • does ne1 no if the importance of being morrissey was released on dvd?

  • not to sure. it was a channel four production tho if that helps.

  • sound...ive seen most of it on youtube but da pricks cut out da start of it

  • @theghostofzappa it wasnt

  • Morrisey is experiencing a resurgence in popularity as a result of this movie, he will be appearing here next month.

  • Did you have my comments marked as spam or something? You should consider seeing a therapist. I'm concerned for you.

  • Are you retarded? Don't you understand how to comment? Don't you understand that I am tired of both you and this topic. NOW you mare being marked as Spam.

  • Reply to this comment in all caps again.

  • If there's any version of this without those interviews?

  • No sorry.

  • This song inspired the title of novel upon which the new swedish vampire movie was based - let the right on in!

  • and its AWSOME, my favorite film ever

  • very awesome, I'm heading back to see it again tomorrow night. =)

  • loved it too. that movie changed my life.

  • I'm in love with that movie!

  • Whenever I hear this song I will think of the Vampire Movie: "Let The Right One In".

  • I wouldn't be surprised if the American remake licenses the song for the ending credits.

  • You are assuming that American filmmakers are intelligent.

  • theyre changing the name to "Let Me In" though because they think "Let the Right One In" is too long. Personally I think Let Me In sound a little more mysterious but thats just me. The original movie is always going to be the better one

  • I know they changed the first edition of the US translation of the book to that name, but then they changed it back when the Swedish film came out so I'm not sure what name they'll use.

  • That's interesting, because Morrissey sings "let me in" in "The More You Ignore Me, the Closer I get." :)

  • That comment was directed at amuda1's comment about the title change.

  • I would not be surprised if My Chemical Romance did a cover of it and this would be on the soundtrack :)

Thinking of it, I am even fairly sure it is going to work out that way granted Morrissey does allow the use of the song which is dubious.

  • The Morrisey song is too upbeat if you take into account the solemnity of the film (which you have not).

  • I heard that the book & therefore the movie was named after this song.

  • Actually, you CAN "hear" statements about books. Read his comment a few more times and you may get it.

  • I neither know nor care what you are "talking" about. I left this channel awhile ago.

  • Yeah if you are visually impaired but you obviously aren't so stop being a dipshit.

Besides you KNOW what the damn context was so don't act like you don't GET IT.

  • Dude, stop trying to show how "Tough" you are, and chill out. << Enjoy the music that has been so kindly uploaded for the world to listen to.

  • I'll stop trying to show how "tough" I am when you stupid you are considering that you are unable to deiscern from my screen name that I'm NOT a "dude".

How about I'm NOT "tough" just smarter than you.

  • on tomorrow single

I think Pashernate Love is a lot better though.

    this song is amazing

Pashernate love is one of my favorite moz songs

    great vid btw

    thanks for it

  • The intro to Pashernate love reminds me of James Bond for some reason. Great song mind.

  • One of his best, lost on a b-side as usual.

  • Agreed

  • Woo-hoo! That was wonderful! I loved the little clips of him talking in between too. Very cool.

  • Great job on this and damn good choice of song! This was a b-side on the Tomorrow single, right?

  • Yeh it is. I got it from the re-issue of viva hate though.

  • I love music but i don't think any other artist has ever stired so much emotion within, he's a very powerful and dangerous man once you let him in, he's with you for life. If moz was a drug he'd be class A

  • Never heard what Morrissey can mean to someone put so well. Thats exactly what its like with Morrissey

  • Ga gewoon terug.

    Dan W.

    Of niet.

  • mm yeh i love it

  • First time I've heard that song...excellent vid, nice selection of Moz stuff...cheers!

  • Your very welcome. The songs off Viva Hate go check it out.

  • Are you sure that song is on Viva Hate. I've had viva hate since '88 and it isn't on there? Was it on another version?

  • I assume you mean '98... it was on the limited edition Viva Hate - released slightly later I think.

  • There could have been a limited edition he may have released later. But I know the original Viva hate was released in 1988. THat was Morrissey's first solo album. I was 13 years old and remembering first becoming mesmorized with Morrissey and the Smiths. I also remember that I wished I was older so I could have appreciated the Smiths when they were actually together.

  • I've just wikipedia'd it. I had no idea but the version I have is a re-mastered one with 8 bonus tracks (well worth getting by the way). Considering I wasn't even born in 1987 when it was originally released I think I can be excused. Apparently theres also a version of the album with hairdresser on fire on it also.

Also worth noting that the bonus tracks were recorded well after the albums release.

  • Yeah, your're excused..lol. I didn't know there was a remastered version of Viva Hate. I still have the cassette when it first came out. And got the cd later. I heard Morrissey is going to do a remaster of Southpaw Grammer this year. Original was 1995. It is so great Morrissey has a whole new generation of fans.

  • Indeed I think SG needs a re-release with a few more tracks on it.

I imagine Moz has an even newer generation of fans since me considering Ive been listening to him for 8 years now. He must be beginning to feel old lol

Looking forward to the new album, September release I hear.

  • i cnt beleive you've never heard that song, thts not a negative comment btw im just surprised

  • Yes..me too...I thought I had it all!, for example That song about someone called 'Melanie', which also has A French D.J who says 'this is a new single by Morrriii-ssseeeey' it's great....but this one which I didn't kno of before yesterday..REALLY!...FLOATETH MY BOAT!...Ahoy-Hoy!

Again, I'm surprised that it managed to 'slip' me by for so long(big thanks again to GhostofZappa)....I'm gonna listen to it now!

  • yeh i have tht melanie but i dnt think it sounds like him. its a good song tho.

you say some quite random things lol

have you got sweetie pie and born to hang,i have the demo so no voice just music but im dowloadin the normal version

oh have have you got the hard rockabilly version of sing your life ?

  • My favorite Moz song. It's very dear to me...:(
