It's not about jobs going overseas. It's about the pay for those jobs. This is a global issue and it's time to shift the paradigm by making these jobs more valuable to America. If you make too much food to sell and people are still starving something is wrong. If we cannot feed people who need it the our country is messed up. We have things we can do and things we can make better. It's about making sure any worker gets paid well. Fine. Than innovate and give us education.

Not sure what planet Mr. GE is living on... I've lived in Germany for over 30 years... what he may believe to be "rooting" is typically a strike... (maybe he's losing something in the translation)
Germany has, by law, established something called a "Betriebsrat" at every major employer, to represent employees... oh! but Germany is a "Socialist State"... funny how they can flip it where it's convenient

It's OK to make money overseas--as long as you do so on a fair level. Exporting labor to countries without labor protections and environmental control is just exporting slavery and death. It's greed that has driven labor overseas, not good business practice. Roger Smith, eat me.
If we started just dropping the rich like flies they might change their attitude! Of course this message is brought to you by the ninth appellate court under the protections of free speech!
No shit, I can't believe he was voted out. The corporations and their politicians did a great job of selling their crap. They say you can't polish a turd, but apparently you can convince enough people that it is a chocolate banana and delicious, even when they take a bite and think it tastes like shit.
Immelt needs to take off those rose colored glasses he seems to be wearing! Route for GE?! Are you fucking kidding me?! You removed 300,000 jobs from our economy and rising! Get your head out of your primary point of contact!!!
Gee,GE,we raised you,we made you rich beyond your wildest dreams, we bought your products, we provided roads, rail & tax breaks for you to move your products making you ever richer, a conglomerate, when the going gets tough you ditch us for for a few shekels more. Mega profits not good enough? You bought off a crooked congress and SC to make you a person with none of the responsibility. You are no longer an asset to this country. You are evil incarnate and these are the reasons we hate all like you.
I miss him as well. We NEED strong voices for "we, the people" in Washington....and how WI could have elected that corporate shill in his place to represent them is beyond my understanding. This guy is GREAT!
I love Grayson, I loved Wiener...but they were and are a bit loud with their voice. I still think we need them as well! They are great Americans!
We need Russ Feingold, Rep. Dennis Kucinich, Rep. Elizabeth Warren, Sen. Bernie Sanders and Gov. Howard Dean to be our voices!!
GE moved their X-ray plant and technology to China. GE is in the process of moving their aerospace technology and plant to China. Oh by the way, that aerospace technology was developed by NASA at taxpayer expense,
The notion and ideas are different in the West as opposed to the East. In the East, the company realizes that if it takes care of it's workers, they are loyal and more productive. In the West is simply "you're replaceable". Look at the business model in Japan, where workers tend to stay with one company because they're taking care of as opposed to the West. The business model is different.
@capucchan8 The guys at the top of GE aren't anymore evil than you or I would be in such a position. Sure their actions might suck sometimes, but hate their actions not the individuals, pity the individuals. The expression "it's lonely at the top" is quite true. If I personally had a choice between being an officer and issuing an order to kill, and being a CEO making tough business decisions, I would choose to be the officer. At least the dead rest in peace.
Another moron makes his voice heard. I got a lot of satisfaction voting him out!! Ron Johnson is the man!

He forgot to mention that in Japan it's an 11 to 1 pay ratio of CEO to average worker.
In the USA it's 475 to 1.
The asshump just doesn't get it.
