Why the heck haven't I seen this before? :O THIS IS SOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL! I love Morgana but honestly, even though I understand that she hated Uther, i don't get her hate for all the others. I mean, yes, we've seen reasons but I feel like her reasons are just not enough for how much she hates them...

@petrahalbur Well, I suppose.. But her reason for wanting the throne is to make magic legal and she's only ever been in power a few days at a time, during which she had to fight off Arthur's army. She doesn't really get a chance to prove what she'd be like as Queen. Also from her perspective everyone has betrayed her. Merlin even tried to kill her (he was really the catalyst in her shift to 'the dark side'), she was Uther's dirty little secret and when she needed help most no one was there.

@oddn But she knows why Merlin tried to kill her. And, considering the number of times he's helped her (telling her where the Druids are; smuggling Mordred etc) she knows that he cares about her.

But more to the point, in "The Wicked Day" she thwarts a magical attempt to heal Uther. She may not have known about the deal between Arthur and Dragoon but she could figure for herself that such healing could have changed Arthur's perspective on magic

@petrahalbur that's exactly the point people misunderstand.they would start hating on her not trying to see it from her POVMorgana didn't know what she was doing was "evil".In fact she's just been on the other side trying to fight for the people that have magic.She doesn't believe that they all still care about her.All she can think of is her friends turning their backs on her, Arthur her beloved brother,Gwen, her friend and merlin who poisoned her. Maybe she even thinks that they all planned it

@mvah07 The best thing I can say about Morgana is that she is deluded. In A Servant of Two Masters Morgana tells Merlin that he "sentenced [her] sister to die a slow and painful death." He didn't. He knocked Morgause out because she was going to kill Gaius and Morgana caused the rockfall that deformed Morgause's face and it was Morgause's choice to die on the Isle of the Blessed.

Frankly, I'll never forgive Morgana for leaving Merlin unconscious in that burning room in "The Crystal Cave"

@petrahalbur That's a truly biased opinion but alright it's your opinion. Of course she shouldn't have left him in that room but it's not like he wasn't trying to kill her either right? he poisened her, and don't tell me because it's in order to protect arthur&uther. seen it from her POV she HAS to kill uther to make magic legal. I'm not saying that I don't understand Merlin's reasons, but you're acting like Morgana is the only one to blame.

@mvah07 Oh, I hate Uther and I support Morgana's hatred of him 110%. Up until "The Crystal Cave" I liked Morgana so much I was beginning to hate Merlin for foiling her plans. It was when she betrayed Gwen, Merlin and Arthur and became power hungry that I turned against her.

And when she knocked out Merlin in "The Crystal Cave" he wasn't trying to kill her. He had just healed her, remember? And he did poison her to protect Camelot. He was crying, remember?

@petrahalbur I know that he cried this is why I would never fully blame him or something. he healed her in crystal cave because on the one hand he wanted to but the more important fact was because Arthur was on the edge of insanity. You remember him hitting that dummy in the rain, crying?just like merlin trying to protect she wants magic to be legal. I understand your reason about being power hungry, but I think it's more revenge because of her sister..she still cares about arthur alot

@mvah07 I think we're beginning to find common ground! I hadn't considered that Merlin healed Morgana for Arthur and the others rather than for Morgana herself but I think I agree with you. He didn't want to watch Morgana die but it was the heartbreak of everyone else that drove him to force Kilgarrah to give him the cure. I still think Morgause had her death coming BUT from Morgana's perspective I can see why she would be vengeful. Overall, though, I still weep for the lost Morgana

it truly is amazing how much she has changed. I think in her heart she wishes she could go back to the way things were, but she knows she can't. she burned that bridge down long ago.
