I went shark fishing at the poles down bobhall an ran into a bull larger than my frenzy kayak it was a good 10 foot an it took my bait an the fight was on but it got away :(
@Ripper0518 Yeah I meant to say kayaking -__- I usually only take em out like 200 yds. But I'm getting a new reel sometime soon hopefully with more line lol
Its a pity that Christopher Deaver has been such a little douche bag. He has screwed every one of the guys in that video, who were his friends. Typical little man abused child syndrome.
u guys are fucking crazy..taking the risk out possible shark bites lol... but this is badass...and i wana do some of this.. way more dangerous then my largemouth fishing :)
Fag? U sure sound like one. An INBRED one at that. You retard. You dont know shit about land based sharking. Of the many different reasons for thicker line i will give u two:
Sandbars and shell cause abrasion on the mono or even the braid, so thicker is better.
Kingfish, spanish mackerals and sharks have teeth and often when swimming will bite through your line and im not talking about where the bait is. Way before that. So thicker is better.
The odds of your second point are pretty rare. I've caught plenty of 5'+ sharks on light line (15 lb) with zero problems from abrasion via sandbars and shells. But, hey, if you want to horse them in and have LESS fun, have at it. I'm still not going to wear a sissy rod holder.
Nice sharks!!! I just went Sept 11th and 12th, 11th was a bust, I beached a Bull that musta been close to 200lbs, never weighed one before, he wa sthe biggest in 2 years, bout 6' and thick! Made a vid, I think my bud posted it to your website. He has some of the pics on tehre anyway. Great trip!
carnt u use a balloon? becouse i wanna catch sharks and fish from the carnavorn jety and i dont wanna buy a kayak. also im gonna get a shimano tyrnos 2speed reel spooled wiv 40kg braid on a 10-15 kg penn seaboi rod. will that do?
DON'T use braid. Especially if it's your first time catching something this size. Mono acts as a shock absorber, if you use braid, you'll have to be the shock absorber, and that isn't easy on the back. Depending on the size of the sharks, anywhere from 20lb to 100lb would be fine.
Gas ballooning is fine for sharks, I dunno about the size of that jetty, but if it's a decent length, just gas balloon your bait out into a gutter.
@ForgetTheLight well its not all braid. first they put like a mono bottum then they fill like half way wif braid then they fill the rest with heavy mono for shock absorber
@HarlingenCardinals Yeah, you can fight them forever on light line, but that stresses the fish, increasing the chances of it dying as a result of your "need to feel like a man".
Not impressive.. Step your game up!Jackasses come from inland nad claim to be fishermen! Gimmie a break, do me a favor and if youre gonna hire a guide do a lil research......
@MrRudebwoy101 I hope you move down here talking like that to people....we'll fix that shit right up for you bitch......your a bad ass on here but give me a time and place I'll set you strait....fucking homo....EAT A DICK CLOWN.

Good video, some real thought put into this... A couple of questions please.
How many fish were taken that day taking into consideration the amount of other anglers around you and their catch?
Do you not have a tagging system for these magnificent fish ?
Would it not be possible to use barbless hooks or is that not practical?
Thank you for your answer's

Fags, fags, fags. Drop the rod holders and grow some balls. Try using lighter line instead of just horsing them in. VAGINAS!
