I was able to bring my Mom w/me to NAMM this year and she is a HUGE Eddie fan. She had the best time at his display. I especially loved the little sign on top of the stack, "Property of Ed". I think for those who weren't able to go, it was very nice of you to post this vid. And for those of us who were, it's even better being able to see everything again. Thank you for posting! :)

It's not about where it's made. It's about Fender Corp. robbing Americans. When I spend my hard earned American dollar on an amp that is supposed to be made in USA (Hotrod Deluxe), and get it home and notice in tiny writing that it's made in Mexico. What did Fender do to me? They made an amp for half of what it cost to make in the USA and raised the price and not let the public know they were made elsewhere. Fender Corp is a rip-off. I have no respect for them anymore. If only Leo were here!

Today's Fender is a discrace and an insult to the great company Leo created.

The Peavey 5150 is a swiss army knife version of a Super Bassman. Now Fender slaps in 7 more preamp tubes making it the ultimate bastardization of a Bassman. This amp would make Leo barf.

Fender buys Sunn, rebrands the Model T as a Fender, then morphs it into an Ampeg SVT.

What's next, replace Townsend's Hiwatts with Fender combos and his Paul with a Strat? Oops

Townsend played mostly SG's and did use Strats.

Tube amps are not rocket science. The designed from the 50's and 60's are still used today in most respectable tube amps including boutique hand-made amps. You don't mess with a perfect thing... except with things like the quality of pots and transformers which were AWFUL in the "good ol days". The transformer is proprietary on the EVH and is designed to put slightly less voltage into the tubes than the wall gives you.

I dont have anything to record it with. But trust me, I pull off Metallica, Megadeth, Black Label Society and many others with this amp. Eric Peterson from Testament uses this amp live. It has A LOT of gain on channel 3.

Pretty sure if you scoop the mids and crap. I dont scoop my mids because you arent heard when you play in a band. My EQ for channel 3 is:

Low: 1 o'clock

Mid: 11 o'clock

High: 12 o'clock

Gain: 5 o'clock

Presence: 12 o'clock

So yeah, my tone is VERY midrangy haha
