  • professor xavier. lol

  • @sageofgames You are right about us all being slaves to the matrix. Just the other day I was walking by and a cat passed by. i thought nothing of it until the very same cat passed me by again. You know what means.

  • Professor Xavier?

  • i need autofucksystem for my girl friend

  • is so kind of you to help the disabled thanks for all r effort

  • Here's a video of a girl (with MS) in a wheelchair who recently got up and WALKED - YouTube # v=ZI8dFHHxbc0 (replace the end of the browser URL with this)

Note: this video is also high-tech - it is modern biotechnology at work.

  • I Cant even finish the video cuz the narrator is so freakin annoying!!!

  • narrator has an annoying voice

  • The woman who reads for us that stuff really sucks at it -.-

No offence (oh w8 it is, plz don't tell it's a secret !)

  • lol

i want one of those to play at home

ha! what's the use of it if it's so darn slow?!?

  • needs nitrous...

  • Reminds me of X-men, anyone else agree? xP

    This is awsome.

  • this kinda stuff should be used for prosthetic hands

  • it already is

  • I think it is.

  • It's kinda freaky though. They also can control computers, televisions and play games with their thoughts by implanting a ' sensor' or something. The next step will be ' surf on teh internet or listen to music with just your thoughts. >____> And before you know it you get spyware and add-ons too. I don't want to get a trojan horse or someone hacking my brains zomf.

No srsly, It's very intressting nd stuff, but don't trust it :D....

  • Hmm... It moves too slow...

  • You don't seriously belive that it would go as fast as the SR-71 in this early stage of developpment.

  • its gunna need improvements its slow there is really no point either. cuz srsly, what r u going to do?

  • This may sound like a bad joke but its not intended that way. This could be used by prof steven hawkin one day. I love science and although he has been unwell lately, you have to look at your own problems, then appreciate the drive of this man who is losing everything we take for granted.

  • Wowsome.

  • this is the future

  • Why.

    Seriously, why.

  • umm..why not?

  • How much does it cost? it's cool.

  • this is a good stuff! they should improvise this

  • if this is continually tweaked and worked with this could size up to be a very useful idea.

  • damn this is incredible!I added it to my favourites lol this is unique.its amaizing how technology evolved!this kind of ,,thought,, driving maybe will be used at cars too!

  • it'd be even cooler if you looked up and blasted off into space.

  • lololo

  • si amigo. taco taco burrito burrito.

  • that woman needs to have a different voice

  • ENTREN

    mireradio22

  • Get a narrator without a lisp.

  • i dont think i want to be seen with countless wires on my head.

  • What the fuck is up with her voice? Fucking annoying...

  • The voice is controlled by her thoughts, very ingeniously, very clever but not as perfect as a natural voice ;)

  • Ah, wow. Is she a Jedi or something? ;O

  • how cool would it be to have a thought controlled car

  • Agreed =] I wouldn't want to be around one, though!

  • Very cool. One minute your thinking "turn left", then next your thinking "oh I think I want McDonalds" and BAM, you get hit by a bus.

  • hahahahaha WOOT

  • LOL

  • Wheelchairs on the road.

  • cool. good to see technology used for the good of mankind instead of destroying it...

  • +1 :]

  • This feels interesting but her voice is absolutely excruciating.

  • this is rly gay and anoying

  • grfg dre qedw huhy ji kh a gdfg e yt

  • we have a long way to go. but this is nice

  • wow

  • sj2685 - grow up - I work with people with serious disabilities - Your "humour" is twisted - pray you are never in an accident that leaves you paralyzed.

  • @eblunot

    It was acturly pretty funny.

    @sj2685

I'm even to lazy to think, what now?

  • Good idea! One chair will cost only like $500.000 why don't order 2?

  • because I can still use my legs..

  • Xavier's favorite chair :D

  • nice

  • designed To paralyze people?

  • nope, it is designed To lazy people.. lol

  • Im glad it doesn't run on windows. imagine what could happen to the poor guy if he was riding down a hill and got a virus, yeesh.

  • my only comment on that:

    BSOD!!!

  • bsod?

  • Blue Screen Of Death // I think O_o

  • is that for the person or for the chair LMFAO

  • he probably isnt connected to the internet u dumbass.....

  • Ever hear of satellite internet... MORON!

  • OMG BBY

  • wow! that is oh so cool.

  • Great project ! Keep going !

    Live forever Apes !

  • This would be great for stephan hawking :D

  • This is true, same happend to me but a ghost also raped my ass like a real horse, post this and it happens too!

  • screw you

  • I wonder if it stalks hot women when a man wears it.

  • LMFAO, its like you keep looking and thinking , not knowing ur moving, untill she turns aroudn and says uve been folowing her for the last 10 minutes XD

  • Well we know it doesnt run on Microsoft Windows since it actually works.

  • lol OMG , u read my mind, i was gonna diss windows but then had second thoguhts when i didnt know how to word it in a smart yet funy way lol

  • I think it neeeds twitter. Going along roads would give ample time for reflection.

  • @watzupdawg What the hells that supposed to mean?

  • lmfao

  • this is for completely paralised people...with no possibility to use hands....i think xD

  • this is terrific

    keep it up science!

  • its to slow!!!!

    but, keep it up!!!

  • Thats just the wheelchair thats slow

  • what happens if you think about a rocket ship? 400km/h wheelchair?

  • lmfao

  • This idea is doomed to fail. "Wow, nice tits on her" will probably send the chair flying over a cliff.

Kidding, by the way. Don't get me wrong.

  • well maybe youre right. what happens when you think about something else than your destination?

  • wow i totally LOL'D nice one

  • So this basically means that thought can be read in future. Wait till this falls into the wrong hands... Scary... :P

  • no it doesnt mean that at all rofl..

  • It doesn't go very fast...

  • Hopefully, imagine: being hit by a car because you were thinking about your dinner. It would be a bit lame. XD

  • i think people gonna play games thougt controlled!!!!

  • actually those have been in development for a long time now, and they have some pretty neat proto-types.

  • Comment removed

  • Chill out people, the fact is they are probably using a PC shell with a Lenux/Unix piggyback system for intensive processing, all OS's have their individual advantages.

  • for some funny vids and also some people hurting themselves check out my channel, just remember, i dont take kindly to crybabies that dont understand whats going on lol

  • Why not just put a joystick on the wheelchair way more convenient. This seems like an excuse to make something simple over complicated.

  • I think its meant for those who dont even have the privilege of even being able to operate a joystick... Also, this technology's application can be in many other fields. Kudos to the scientists.

  • I thought about that but it seems so situational ;\

  • I'm sure people with sever muscular dystrophy wouldn't consider it "situational".

  • technically even a regular wheelchair would also be 'situational', so your argument doesn't make much sense.

  • THAT WORKS MODA FCKER

  • With the wires on the head, it's a funny version of professor X.

  • You are faster with a normal wheelchair ;-)

    But it's a nice Idea.

  • yeah, but how would someone who have also injured their arms and hands use a normal weelchair? so then this is much better.

  • That's not entirely true, think about Stephen Hawking and Jason Becker.

  • Do you have any idea how short-sighted and uninformed your comment is? Lose the use of your arms & legs before making such a profoundly numb statement. Clearly, even though you open your comment with 'I think' - you don't!!!

  • My grandmother lost her arms and her legs by an accident. She survived and lived 15 years and her life was hard. At the end, she said to me that she would die. Yes, it's not quite the same. But never say: "You don't think!!!" If you don't know who a other person is. I can say the same to you. Are you sure that you like your life, if you lose your most important parts of your body? I don't no, but I suspect that you don't know how it is.

  • Once again I say, you don't think!

Your 1st statement was a generalization claiming that people that lose arms & legs don't like their lives..some perhaps, but most definitely not all!

Don't, because of your unfortunate circumstance with your grandmother, think that every person with a severe disability thinks the same way.

A person who finds themselves without arms and legs would most certainly find benefit in this advancement in technology...what qualifies or makes YOU 'think' otherwise?

  • Furthermore, is the object of the commentary not supposed to be aimed at the content of the footage supplied?

Your comments, I reiterate, are baseless and not related to the article, but on personal sentiment..go write to dear Abbey...

  • Okay, it's true. I generalized that and I excuse me, if I hurt someone. But we have wheelchairs that we can drive with an electric motor. There are good solutions for highly disabled persons. Yes, we can optimized they. But we have to pervent that a person must sit in a wheelchair. It's very

encouraging, if you say to a people: "We can't help you, but we have a realy good wheelchair."

Do you know what I mean, now? The medicine must evolve itselve, not the technology!

  • soooooooo slooooooow.

  • Giant fighting mechs here we come!

  • hell yeah!

  • I'm not sure whether this will make the sight of a guy in a wheelchair crossing the road more or less funny

  • I think you were trying to be funny.. but you failed

  • I thought he was just being an ass.

  • what about people who are crippled from the neck down?

  • "what about people who are crippled from the neck down?"

That would be, like, the target market for this device.

  • LOL

  • Duuuuude...

Either you've watched clerks 2 way too many times, or you're a complete douchebag. Or fucktard. Or douchefucktardbitchface.

LOL! I just went on your channel! Fuck man, you really are a looser.

  • cxvxcvxcvxcv

  • narrated by rosanna danna

  • Try and make it go faster much? :O

  • YOU'RE RETARD

  • kuningaskosmos: Actually, that comes out as "You are retard" which makes no sense. If youre going to insult me do it properly.

  • U R RETARD

  • kuningaskosmos : Youre still not doing it right, "U R RETARD" translates without an "a" in it where it should be. Like I said, do it properly. But dont expect me to get down on my knees and beg for mercy, mkay? ;)

  • Sorry, last comment goes to blestcurst, not kuningaskosmos, my apologies. ^_^

  • LMAO STFU U R RETARD

  • i r hot.

  • restf0rm: I highly doubt that. ;)

  • If you want to test drive an automated wheelchair with a first-gen program at 20 in a closed room, by all means volunteer, I'm sure we'd all like to see you go splat.

  • Um. I didnt mean any offence by what I said, so Im hoping you didnt take any.

I was merely commenting on the speed in general. Of course in a small room its gonna be slow, but if youre in a corridor, I suggest a healthy 5mph (no more than that). 20mph is stupid, what made you come up with that? It could get someone badly injured.

  • Sorry, it just peeves me when people feel it is necessary to suggest the logical next step in a product's evolution as though the researchers would not have thought of it themselves. Saying "it should go faster" to them would be like saying "you should try some color" to a portraitist after they make the initial sketch. Put a little trust in their capability to understand the needs of their consumer base, I'm sure they will turn up the speed once the navigation tech is perfected.

  • Thats a fair point. My apologies for commenting upon the obvoius (I really mean that, not trying to be sarcastic xD) It irks me when tremendous inventions are made, yet lack the fundamentals. It happens, sometimes for good reasons, sometimes not.

  • So you finally realized it too;

    you're retard.

    I was right all along.

  • kuningaskosmos: Not really. If you like to judge someone on one mistake they make. Then that makes you quite stupid. :)

Plus, youre still not spelling it right. I aint gonna go on at you, youre not really worth it anymore. Enjoy your tardiness. ^_^

  • "you're retard" ...that really says it all doesn't it?

  • N1 Looks Great!

  • Most annoying voice on earth.

  • you dumbshit

  • REPENT!!!!!

  • Awesome!

  • Designed to paralyze people?

  • Hah. it DOES sound like that.

  • this invention will improve the lives of many people

  • If all of you really can't stand her voice, just go read the damn article on the site.

  • I DID A POO :'(

  • Holy cow.

  • I have to unsubscribe, only because I can't stand that narrator's voice any longer. Far too repetitive in tonal patterns. Instead of paying attention to the science I'm listening for her tell-tale trail-off at the end of every god-damned fragment she says.

  • I totally agree. Or the channel should get someone else to read this. 90% could do this better than her.

  • i agree too, and some people here must STFU!!!
