I had this happen in the bad way. When I was getting used to the plasma beam the pirates took me by surprize and forced me into a filtered hyper mode, shot like crazy to try and get out but every single time I got very close they kept force rebooting hyper mode and after the 3rd try to cancel it, It corupted me and I was 1 shot away from safety and when It happen I didn't know what the fuck happened. I scared the shit out of me

Samus turning into Dark Samus does kinda make sense sInce they say in Metroid Prime 2 when you first scan dark samus that dark samus contains samus's dna. So i guess if metroid prime (creature)+phazon+samus's dna=dark samus, than i gues samus+phazon=dark samus.

u ever played metroid prime? yes? beaten it? yes? then ud no of the hyper mode. the hyper mode in this game however, im not saying i NOW this, cuz i dont, cuz i never played it, omething hapens to Samuses ORIGINAL suit and shes given a spare. however the spare suit cant stand the phazon as well, and as such corrupts it if used too long, seeps through it, killing samus, and the phazon takes control of the suits abilities, turning her into dark samus. there. quick explination. any more questions?

Dark Samus is the Metroid Prime and at the end of no 1 she sort of mimics her. in no 2 they meet again but DS is defeated. in no 3 she comes back by the cut scene that explains it but the place is like a prison in the place where they give the ppl in the other cut scene they Hrper Mode and she gets even more corrupted by that.

To all of you commenting who wins in Dark Samus vs. Dark Samus, the original Dark Samus wins. She infested Samus and the other hunters with phazon on purpose - to corrupt them. The others got corrupted and fell under the power of Dark Samus. The same happens to Samus. Also keep in mind that Dark Samus ate a ton of phazon, while Samus didn't. The original Dark Samus would have a lot more power in an eventual (even if impossible) battle.

Samus doesn't die, she just gets taken over by dark samus ( like the other 3 hunters), at the game over screen, it says "terminal corruption", meaning corrupted with no hope of escape. Samus dies when the energy hits 0, resulting the life support system to go offline. The game over screen gets replaced with a red drop taking over the screen ( representing blood, since samus died), but theres no cut scene for that. Just the whole helmet turning off like a TV, then game over.

the first time it happened to me was on Brryo when you're just landing your ship so you can get the "western energy signature". The pirate went into hyper mode, so I did too, then the second one through a phazon bomb. Dude, that reminds me of when I was killing the gun turrets. The pirates would thow phazon grenades and that would put me into hyper mode without losing an energy tank. I was barely resisting the urge to say "Fools! Your pitiful attacks only make me stronger!"
