@StreetlightEagle Thanks for taking the time to comment. Capo 3rd Fret Drop D Verse D/A, G, F sharp, E, A, Bm Chorus Bm, D Bm, D/A, G, A7, G Repeat The G and F sharp only require one finger on the 5th and 4th fret respectively and the E chord is played with first finger on 2nd fret E string and second fingeron the 2nd fret D string. I don't know if I play it exactly like Richard Thomspon but I think it's pretty much the same.
Lovely!...Many thanks for the exclusive concert on Friday...felt so lucky to be amongst such amazing talent as yourself, Gary and Ian... magical. Good luck with your new album. Hope you're working on your Preston Hug.
@pwilde2803 hey dan, please please please put 'broke my heart alright' on youtube... its my fave song you have done ... thanx ps you have a great voice!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Bruce. Dan is away on holiday at the moment but I will pass your comment on. Dan is keen to get over to New York sometime soon and so it's nice to get some feedback from the US.
Thanks for the comment which I will pass on to Dan. We hope to post some more videos over the next few months as Dan is now starting to do more gigs - I hope to improve the sound quality !!
Wonderful voice! You made it your own yet lost none of the original feeling behind the song. I think this is the best cover of "Beeswing" that I have ever heard - excluding mine, of course! ;-)
I hope you're still performing - it would be interesting to hear something you wrote yourself.
You've a wonderful voice, but it's your phrasing that wins it for me. Different from Richard's, and still great for the song. Too many people cover it with no thought to the phrasing, but this is sweet. Good stuff.
I have listened to this so many times. One of my favourite local preformers done it a few months ago at O'Reilly's here in Newfoundland, and it was the first time I ever heard it. I fell in love with it, but this version is just amazing. What an awesome job.

Good to see the future of folk is safe in the hands of young guys like you Dan; this is a quality treatment of a lovely song. Sometimes a song gets lost in a flurry of flash fingers (I don't include Thompson in this) but your balance between fingerstyle guitar and soleful singing is spot on.
Power to your elbow - I'll try to catch one of your gigs before I get too old to get out nights...
we love this!
