Dr Zakir also said that only two wives were below the age of 26. The revelation by God to Prophet Muhammad to order all the Muslims that they can only have the maximum of 4 wives came only much later on. But that too, provided they can do 100% justice and fairness to all the wives. If they can't, then marry only one.

It was common at that time, since the lifeasapn was so short. Also, parents + family agreed (inclduing aisha) to be married to the prophet, so she was not forced, at all. And just because most girls dont reach puberty by 11 -10, doesn't mean aisha hadn't already reached the physcial size. It's not uncommon for girls to attain puberty at 9. Also, aisha was not 6 years old, but she was 9 years at the time of her marriage!

Brother Harshal, A gud question u posed. See the word "political gain" is taken in a wrong sense. Here the word means not like a person marrying a lady for some MP seat or Ministerial berth. Here it is done to establish peace. Word "politics" is very much degraded by present day politicians so your doubt is very much right. Read the story behind Prophets every marraige, u will understand that it was for peace. An example given in this video itself.

If prophet marries 11, it does not mean that every human being should marry 11.Quran clearly says in Sura Nisa Ch 4 v 3

if a man can do justice between their wives he can marry max 4,but cannot do justice then only 1.And during prophet's time the situation was different,that marriage was held to bring peace between the city.But in todays world the situation is different due to corruption and dirty politics.you better read the Sahih Hadith of Prophet Mohammad(PBUH)so thatu cangain more knowledge
