this game is amazing, but its really stupid, how they just charge and then stand still once they are front of their enemy....and its like they are waiting for their enemy to attack
the shoot by fours is rank fire and you can switch it so they shoot in volleys
rank fire was made so that by the time the last 4 men shot the first four were reloaded and ready to shoot again maintaining a constant barrage of fire
i thought that was quite risky having very thin lines like that, i mean if he was to focus a cavalry attack on your center they would have broken through to the other side, and then they could do whatever they wanted until you had to move troops. Just my thoughts. Good battle :D
Having thin double rank lines like I used in this battle severely discourages head on cavalry charges because there are so many men in the front rank of the first line that can fire first before the calvary actually hit.
If he were to charge me his calvary would be torn apart by my marines and ultimately most likely not even make it through at all.
What I like about have a long double rank line is that it lets me get men on the far right and left flanks where my opponent has nothing there
how do you make your line stay in formation when they they move ?

ah yes i see what you are saying, becuase you have long thin double rank lines he would probably put his cavalry on his wings to combat that.

Yep, which is exactly what he did.
