August 15, 1940: A Historical [352nd]VFG Cross Channel Map Story

My grandparents have told me that during WW2 they replaced their dining room table with a large reinforced cast iron version which had an iron grille on all four of the undersides with an opening large enough for them to crawl into during air raid alerts or whenever they heard V1 doodlebug flying bombs approaching overhead - those indoor shelters were built to withstand even direct hits by bombs during raids. They also had an Anderson shelter in their back garden covered by soil and turf.

Very nice. Not wanting to appear an idiot, but is this IL2 with some sort of updates to make it look a hundred times better? Has the gameplay been extensively tweaked?

Very nice vid, well done! Shame mods like this are such a pain to install, more cant enjoy them. Has anyone created campaigns and missions specifically for this map yet?

Yes, the map comes with 20 missions. the Great thing about this release is that it has a self installer .exe. All it requires is a double click and you'll have it all

Re: Mods. These mods are nicely packaged in 3 downloads. UP2.01 + 352nd Cross Channel Map + Plutonium Max Effects. Fairly easy to install over your 4.09m IL2 1946

The guys over at UltaPack put everything together in 1 awesome package for an easier install of many mods and maps. Fantastic stuff

@katdog5 need help! I have il2 version 4.09m + ultrapack 2.1 full install. and I run the exe installer for cross channel. but I cant get it to work, I cant find the campaign in the game...how do I do it?

You have to make sure you run it inside/or from your il2 root folder...ie.drag the .exe into your il2 sturmovik folder, then double click it. Then go to missions/net/coop to check for the 352nd folder

Yes 1:1 ...their missions are very realistic with flight times! If you download my missions I have them set to < 15 min to action with people with a little less time. Glad you got it working. Best map ever

This video is good, but you should've made it with a voice over narration instead of heavy metal band. It would have been more historical and interesting.
