I have this same guitar. I love it!

Wonder if in the future it will be worth more. I'll never sell my baby no matter what.

Well I dont want to sell the guitar.

Im just doing a demo here.

But I have invested in the Kluson Deluxe Butterscotch Keystone tuners in it, which I installed myself to boost the price to around $875.

This was a limited run for gc and all supplies sold out. I cant even find one on ebay.

I think it was a nice catch for me even though its not a "Gibson" USA made model.

Nice axe though, its comfortable semi-light, well distributed weight, mahogany body w/ carved alder top.

dude, what effects you using? Sounds freaking amazing, you're lucky you got one of those when you did lol.

Hello and thanks for the comment.

The guitar is tuned to D or D# and im playing through my Peavey 75watt VYPYR modeling amp using the 6505 amp model. I added delay to the amp and I probably messed with the high mid and low eq settings and probably added some more reverb to it. Its basically the guitars body wood and pickups that makes this sound when using a high gain amp.

I will answer the first question best I can.

Some Epiphone custom guitars are made in shops not designated as custom shops. Other custom guitars are made at "custom shops".

Wouldnt know the answer to the next question.

This one is made in China, my only chinese made axe. I have 5 recent new korean built axes, all different brands. They are all quality built instruments : )

You are right cheewie69. This axe was $699.00 new at guitar center in Las Vegas, Nevada. I added the Kluson vintage butterscotch keystone tuners for a 100 or so. Kluson makes the tuners for gibson. So it ran me about $850.00 in its current condition. This guitar was a limited edition run last year and they dont make them anymore. Im happy I found it when I did.

the epiphone black beauty les paul list for $1,300 so its not

a cheap guitar for shure. it also sounds/plays and feels like its

big brother Gibson models. and lets not forget that Gibson has

owned epiphpone guitars since 1957 ands has made epiphone

guitars since 1959 to present!

No this is Ace Frehely of Kiss 1973 or '74. Song is Black Diamond. Im sure mr slash's earliest influences include Ace Frehely, no doubt in my mind.

@georgiarican1 well put it this way, james hetfield and kirk hammet both used gibson guitars till they were indorsed my ESP , so if you wanna play metallica... a gibson ( or epiphone ) les paul, V , explorer with active EMG's is perfect

Hi FS06, no I didnt because it doesnt come with one. I was contemplating on whether to install one. I decided not to. But I did change the tuners to Kluson Deluxe Butterscotch Keystone., and the trussrod cover on this guitar is only black. I had epiphone send me the "les paul custom" plate and put that on also. I felt if they are calling it a custom, the plate should say what it is. Its a fine guitar nonetheless, thx for watching!

Amp and guitar settings?

If your familiar with the peavey vypyr 75w modeling amp, I believe I used the badkat amp model dirty with the tubescreamer stompbox. added delay,reverb ect. Probably messed around with the eq too. Also the guitar is tuned to D#. I guess kiss did that alot in their writing songs. I use .8 guage strings so the guitar didnt like being down tuned like that.
