04-06 style/model all day, best looking R1(just lose the rear fender and flopping blinkers). Looks alot better than kawis, ducs(they dont look that much good except paint), suzukis or any bike ou their.

that was really great, best looking bike in my opinion. I'll probably start off with a 250 but I'd like a 600. Reading everything from "Essential Guide to Motorcycle Maintenance" to "Twist of the Wrist". Next purchase will be a helmet... then jacket and gloves... then an MSF course. Finally, the bike itself. Then someday an 07-08 R1...

If you have brain why bother 250, start with 600. I'm teaching my girlfriend on r1 and she love it. Ride safe !

VIDEO IS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! TRULY CAPTURES the SPIRIT and PRIVLEDGE of riding a YAMAHA R1! I own a 2001 Team Blue R1. Got it used in PERFECT condition in July this year! Got it for only 6K! She only had 6400 miles! Upgraded from a YAMAHA YZF 600 R. Sister bike to the R6, YAMAHA Blue as well. In any case, POWER of 400 extra cc's is SIMPLY AMAZING! THANK YOU for posting up this video!
