I wouldn't worry about it. The alligators in Texas aren't very aggressive. An alligator has never killed a person in Texas.

Actually there has been incidents of an alligator killing a person in texas, as well as florida, louisianna etc.

i wonder if this was the one they killed in the swimming area last summer. that sucker was huge!! most of the gators that ive seen out there have been by the power plant. and as long as it hasnt rained in a while "the beach" is a great place to go swim. thats where my husband and i take our 2 yr old swimming :)

@tw310937 ....the guy we went out on the boat with said the same...we were lucky to see a big one that was eating...after filming we had a look at the dead tree forest then went for a swim.....but kept one eye open for the gators......thanks for the comment.

@tw310937 ....we went swimming in a shallow beach type area,not far past a power plant kinda thing not sure what it was a factory poss...?..our mate from victoria said it would be safe to swim there.....we never got eaten so i guess it was...hahahahaha...we spent most of the day on the lake and went all over the place,had a great day...and love victoria..cheers

i live on coletto creek lake there is a huge one passed the hot water discharge heading east under the bridges the nfollowing the creek around to the north ther are a few coves to the right. careful though he tried jumping in the boat with us he is about 12foot
