3 years ago today, May, 30, 2008 on a Friday night! I saw Van Halen at the Allstate Arena Chicago, IL Man, what can I say, probably the best Van Halen show on the whole tour! The energy was unbelievable! Eddie played his ass off and I was very Happy to see how Happy and sober Eddie was! The crowd was so fucking loud when David Lee Roth said "Look at all the people hear tonight!" Me and my friend were going fucking nuts the whole show! after the show we went to Denny's 1230am VAN HALEN THANK YOU

Love it when DLRoth says. "Repeat after me!" Next, he screeches, "Sing it!" to the

audience (or Eddie/Wolfie). Great concert....saw them in 81 or 82? at the Pavillion

(U of IL/Chicago, IL) and in 2007 in San Diego - worth every laugh, smile, dance

and penny.....keep ROCKING VH with Diamond Dave!

There is a big difference from this and 25 years ago, drug and alchol abuse but they were great DVL was absulute bombastic, alive brillant front man Eddie was also back then but fucked up, now they are still brillant in there playing and singing but without the drugs and everything else not so bombastic but man still love the music which ever way they are.

I love DLR. His was the classic and very best of the VH body of work. That said... Dave forgot the words, sounded bad were singing and didn't bring the UMMPH! It was disappointing, but in no way detracts from the awesome talent he was. DLR is like an old friend and it's great to see them back together. Screwed up how Michael Anthony got bumped out by Eddie and Alex. Check out chickenfoot with Michael Anthony and Joe Satriani

fuck all the Roth haters. listen to any of the old VH clips and you'll see he's 100 times better now, actually singing all the lyrics. all his old shows was more of his stupid martial arts show, but now he's putting more into his vocals. He's never been known for a perfect live voice, but he's pretty fuckin good on this tour. sounded killer at 120 decibels!

thats very true because this was during the time wolfgang wasn't comfortable yet with singing right and so during the break they all pracitced singing better and smoother and once they came back they were sounding almost perfect.
