I have a male lilac crown he is fiesty and tries to chase me when I put his dishes in, so I have a perch for him to bite at. He does like to play rough with his toys too. We don't have many of them in Canada.
the lilac amazon is one of the birds im actually looking into right now. If its not to much trouble could you tell me more about them? Ive also heard their quiet which is unusual for an amazon. is that true? Any other important info you want to share would be great! Thanks!
Sorry I never anwsered you. Lilac Crown's are great pets. They are smaller than the yellow heads. Mine only gets loud when she wants me in the room with her. They also hold a strong bond to one person. Mamacita has never bitten anyone. She is very friendly.
If you haven't gotten one yet they are a good choice.

I love this video. I have a 9 yr. old female lilac crowned named Ruby. I used to breed all kinds of parrots and Amazons make great pets.

Mamacita is a she. She is 12 years old. Lilac Crown's are smaller Amazons. About the size of a pigeon.
