@LastNetwork2 This promo was shown in the summer of 81.So the most recent WS was in 1980. My favorite team the Phillies beat the K.C. Royals in the WS on NBC television .Remember Bryan Gumbel and Joe Garciaola? As a kid growing up in New Jersey I always considered CBS and NBC New Yorkish and ABC a kinda Western network. So maybe ABC thought of themselves a more Californian also and went with showcasing the Dodgers.
WJHG-TV in Panama City, Florida was an ABC affiliate, they were Channel 7. Until January 4, 1982 when they switched affiliations with WMBB-TV 13 which was an NBC affiliate
I seem to remember my ABC affiliate when I was a kid (WGHP-TV, channel 8, Greensboro NC..now FOX) used some local variation of this theme; I think it went, "Now is the time; TV8 is the place!" Ahh, memories.
I remember WRAL-TV (the ABC affiliate in Raleigh, NC) did an indent very much like this one, which there was the circle 5 logo instead of the ABC logo (but the effects were identical to this one).
I remember WRAL doing that too! (Of course, they switched with WTVD, a prior CBS, in 1985, networks-wise) I grew up in Greensboro but could get some Raleigh TV over-air..plus I had friends in RAL I visited as a kid, and lived with for many years after I became 18..anyway. WGHP in Greensboro area did their own take-off of the ABC jingle, by saying (I think): "Now is the time, TV8 is the place!" I think it had the 8 in a circle with same visual effects as seen in the ABC video. Nostalgia rules!
The Dodgers never played on ABC unless it was on Monday Night Baseball.

Do you know if WCVB Boston or WPRI Providence ever used this?

I know. All of ABC's Channel 7s used the 'Now is the Time, ABC is the place' campaign.
WLS-TV in Chicago was another ABC O&O station, along with WXYZ in Detroit and WABC in New York that used this campaign.
WXYZ also used 'Still The One' from 1979 and 'You and Me' from 1980.

Clarification for the WDHN slogan, they may have used "Now is the time, Channel 18 is the place with a TV with 18 shaped in
