  • the moral of the story is:

Don't be a homeless dude who gets passed out drunk at a bar, or you'll see horrible, grotesque visions of Ryan Murphy singing as a Wicked Witch while undertaking a journey of self enlightenment with 3 strange freaks who were based on people in the aforementioned bar.

    ....or something like that.

  • You like made, the like 5th biggest video in the world, then you made a video that got views that I could get posting a mediocre video with my moms camera right after.

  • I don't get how it is logically possible to have a video with 100 million views sitting next to a video with 30 thousand views. ???????

  • Omg Tim Curry in The Worst Witch! THAT'S what Ryan as the Wicked Witch of the West reminded me of!.. as well as David Bowie as the Goblin King in Labyrinth. It had been nagging at the back of my mind for ages.

Only Ryan could pull both those off at once. :D

This whole thing was epic, I can't say how many times I've watched it, and the songs are much better than those in The Wizard of Oz.. And the moral of this story is.... ummm... err.... hmmm...*throws computer and runs down hill*

  • @brodwaycomedian

    bowl is mispelled

  • *sniff* it was so sad

  • I adore this. I wish when I did the Wizard of Oz play, it would've been this version.

  • I liked the bit with Ryan

  • L. FRANK BAUM NOT FRANK L BAUM

  • I wen to the link to buy this, but when I got there, I couldn't find a place to actually buy it... Is it out of stock?

  • is this ryans first project

  • Really funny parody. I loved it, especially the surly Munchkins and the Witch's music video. Other than the mis-credited "Frank L. Baum" (other way around), brilliant stuff, guys.

  • Was there a Lion song? The credits say there was, but I didn't notice...but who cares, this film rocks! XD

  • LOL no wonder this is your least viewed video, it's just credits XD

  • Whenever I try to click the link at the side, my browser crashes. Is anyone else having this problem?

  • i love the wizard of oz and i think this was the best remake/parody i ever seen. nice

  • AWESOME!!!! this was awesome! You guys are geunuises! You totally deserve over 1,000,000 subscribers!!!

  • when is he going to take orders for the dvd and soundtrack again?!?!?!?!? i want it!!! soo badly!

  • Awesome. I wish the robot and scarecrow had been reconceptualized as well.

    Special Thanks to Miles Standish.

    Oh Yeah

  • EPIC! (applause, applause) great job, guys!! =) =)

  • 10/5 for the whole thing.

  • This is why we don't drink kids!

  • verry well made

  • That's was good. I usually don't like your multiple-parters... but this one was really good. Not a barrel of laughs, but it means a lot more that it wasn't than if it was... So yay! ^__^ Good job!

  • good job that was awsome

  • that was the best! you should making more films!

  • That was awesome!! But why did the ScareCrow and the Witch get the best songs? Prejudice against Fictional Characters! Oh wait..... good job!!

  • yeah... and the lion only got a speech!!

    still it's good :)

  • Lol, the Lion was weird because he was dubbed.

  • That was amazing congrats. a great take on an old clasic tale. Highly enjoyable.

  • That, my good sir, was EPIC. Very well done all around, amazing humor, and just plain made of win. I can't think of any way else to praise this than by saying that you are a YouTubing genius.

  • this was awesome...

  • The fact that the DVD/Soundtrack is back ordered, however, upsets me greatly. What I would give for a commentary to this!

  • I can just watch No Place Like Home over and over again, and I never get tired of it.

  • LOL this was so flipping awsome

  • holy crap! this is like really really well done!i love the black & white beginning with the red converses! did you get that from shendlers list? wicked music! the whole bloody movie was a complete masterpeice! i loved it! well done! PS:what editing program was used for this?

  • sweet song! its cool!

  • i wish i had paypal so i could buy a copy

  • Best thing in the world!!

  • i noticed that patrick sounded like tom waits a little bit, and lo and behold! there was tom waits in the special thanks!

  • What a sweet little song.

  • I noticed "Frank L. Baum" was credited in the thanks section. Actually, he was L. Frank Baum. His first name was Lyman, I think.

  • Too bad practically no one has seen the whole video. The worlds missing out.

  • amazing!!!

  • classic.

  • I'm totally getting the dvd.

  • That was AMAZING! I loved it :]

  • this was totaly awesome!!

    you guys are great.

and i think jl is super cute :)

  • This was epic in so many ways. You guys have tremendous talent, in movie and music making. This was bizarre, hilarious, bewildering - just so amazing, I don't even know what to say. I loved it.

  • Marvelous! :D

I'm going to pretend I watched it in the theatre and give the movie a standing ovation for at least 30 minutes! (Well, until my hands start to cramp. So 5 minutes perhaps?)

I also love your renedition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow! ♥

  • Funniest Movie that ive ever seen

  • really fucking good

  • *claps*

  • I don't know if you get told this very often, but you guys have awesome technical skills. Not only are your movies funny and such, but the editing and filming in and of themselves deserve a huge KUDOS. It is hard to master those kind of things with non-commercial equiptment and without a studio, and you do a great job.

  • If anyone can fly over that rainbow, it's you guys. Love your work! :)

(and the award for sappiest comment ever goes to me maybe?)

  • i had to wipe a tears from my eye.

  • i thought the acting was really great in this.

  • If this were in theaters, it'd set records in the box office.

  • Best. Movie. EVAH!

  • Awesome. XD

    Love it.

  • End of song.

    "Yay."

    "That was cute."

    "Can we cut that..?

    "That was TERRIBLE."

    Hahahahahahaha!!

  • love you ryan <3 hahahaha

    BEST THING EVER !!!

  • You should make more videos like these

  • This was really good! Its cool that you have so many friends that are interested in this sorta thing!

  • i've been meaning to watch this for months and months, and i'm so glad i've finally had the time to do so! awesome editing job. and i loved most of the songs and liked the rest of them. =) that's all i can probably say about this without being too detailed and saying to much, but awesome film!

  • Can I be honest?

    Thanks.

Neil, your serious shortfilms far exceed PPP. Don't get me wrong, I love Naked Time as much as the next YouTuber. "No Place Like Home" was amazing. It was very entertaining, but still heartfelt (okay..kinda heartfelt) and the actors were a lot better than most everyone on the Disney Channel. I love the music, too! I hope you continue to make great films and hopefully go on to direct some in the future.

Everyone involved in this shortfilm did a fantastic job. Congrats!

  • Wow, this was perhaps one of the BEST internet movies I've ever seen! I've already watched 5 times in the last three days. I tell myself "I'm not going to watch it today" but it's no use... it must be watched. Anyway, you guys are really talented and I hope the DVD will be up for sale again soon, because I'd love to buy it.

Oh yeah, the link on the eviltrailmix site to the google video version is borked. Just thought I'd let you know.

  • Bit of an error in the credits. The author of the Oz books was L. Frank Baum, not Frank L. Baum.

XD But anyway, I have to say, I loved this. The Tom Waits character was hilarious. :P

  • cool movie... i have the same red shoes

  • i agree with the credits, kevin needs special recognition for wearing the robot costume!

  • LOL BEST MOVIE EVER!!!

  • FUNNY

  • That was the best thing i ever seen!

    best youtube video ever!!!

Thank you for filling my heart with amazement and wonder!

  • that was amazing. LOVED the opening song.

  • I knew that the crow was done by Emmy. Seemed like an Emmy thing...

    Brilliant production. Only one flaw:

    WHERE WAS SPENCER? =[

  • Yellow Brick Road was actually Jake?!

    I'm really impressed.

  • It's films like this that make me want to be a filmmaker.

  • One of the more awesome movies I've seen in a while!

  • OMG i want the DVD

  • Very funy!!! lets get the f****** broom

  • Nice. I can't believe I made a video to piss you off. Ah well.

  • Wow! that video was amazing. When you make it big, and I know you will, you totaly need to make that an actual big production movie. And the music was really good, it was written very well and the acting was good. You guys are a talented group of people.

  • NEIL LIKE GOD NICE HAIR!!!!!!!

  • Oh, I loved this! :D It's kind of sad that Tom goes right back to drinking though when they don't have anything non-alcoholic. lmao Awesome, awesome movie. <3

  • I loved it!

I'm off to by the Digital Versatile Disc.

  • Lauren Mack = Babe...

Or maybe it's because it's the first female I've seen in over 25 minutes.

  • Let's send Neil a letter asking him why.
