@Rzavqi The lend lease act was to give aid to the allies be it weapons and medical supplies Britain couldn't afford to give supplies to the soviet union since they barely had enough for themselves they where giving Americans deeds if i remember right to places in Britain in return for supplies and kids from America and Britain would gladly die and fight for there country if need be. But you see USSR was a land battle American had soldiers so did Britain the USSR won by numbers...

And also-how could USSR win only by numbers? By 1942 they already created new tacticts, new weapons. So escuse me, but saying that "Soviets won because they had more men than German bullets" is incorrect and improper.
@Rzavqi well the British became allies with the soviet union so it would surprise me if they did help out the USSR they had thousands of people in their red army but that was one there greatest weapons in addition these "new tactics" couldn't have possible be taught to every one in the military when Germany was headed to Moscow it was a peoples war those tactics where only taught to maybe a select few since people tend to disobey orders and hold their lives dearly.

So in the end, it was an American (or British or Canadian) against the Germans. I think the Western Allies fought as well as the Germans in actual combat, but both had excellent soldiers indeed.

The Germans took so many prisoners in their initial advance because the Rusians who were being armed and I suspect financialy supported by the usa. were making final preperations to invade Europe, Hitler had no choice but to strike first and he did.

The book went on to say that hitler rounded many of them up, killed them, and took all their grain back to Germany as well as partitioned their west land to romania. That totaly wrong, the OKW was planing the offensive such as it went on, it was overall inspired by the ww1 Schleifen Plaan. It was not Hitler's decision it was for most Manstein's credit to the sucess.

Manstein brought the plan to Hitler personally. Hitler overruled OKW and decided to go with Manstein's attack and Modern Warfare was born.

The Molotov-Ribbentrop pact was mainly Soviets benefit, as they planned to mobilise and improve their armament technology straight in 5 years, then, they would have break the pact and attack Germany.

The first mistake that led to Germany's defeat was in 1940 when the left 400,000 men to evacuate at Dankurk when they could have captured them..Those men went in to britain to rearm and came back to fight.The second one in Stalingrad 1942-1943 when Hitler didn't listen his generals to leave the city to die of starvation and move on.He ordered the men to clear the city house by house thus having alot of casualties and loosing precious time

@unclemort1960 Wasnt really the whole army, just the expeditionary force. UK still had a massive air force and the worlds largest Navy in 1940.

it was fucking greeces fault that delayed the attack by more then 1 month then yugoslavia when the gov switched sides and weak italy. pretty much germany vs the world though..
