Maximum settings need 1GB minimum VRAM to run smoothly. My CF HD 4850 lags like mad on MAX but is smooth on High because of ram size. Maybe an HD 4870 or GTX 260 would be more stable.

last time i playd on this map it was on quakeworld and i got my ass splattered! but then again thwe quake 1 weapons were unbalenced and the players were good

This game engine looks and performs even better than some commercial engines (like Ice-Peak Engine used in Tension, for example). I wish more games used it so more games would be cross-platform compatible.

I know it uses Darkplaces engine, I used it myself to play original Quake 1. At least there's true free mouse look, not that annoying mouselook spring featured in original Quake 1, so this alone makes replaying old game fun again.

Just a suggestion - Point blank with rocket launcher while having no armor is just dumb. I hate the rocket launcher as you will take a beating from using it.

And no matter how slick you are that small room next to the teleporter is off limits with rocket and grenade launchers. Fire in the doorway once and even a bot will come out and engage you.

Try playing this level with the sniper rifle.

the rocket flare and lag is a little excessive...and the other weapons look lame kina...UT2004 had nicely balanced weps..only annoyance was the mini-gun
