You can find the stinger shooters if you know map really well and know which ridges to duck behind. Depending on when I get locked on coming out of cover gives me pretty good idea on where their at. Plus you can just have gunner use flares on incoming and watch where it comes from.

He's not engaging just ground targets, he's evading missiles, killing jets and tanks, working with his gunner, taking one of his slot perks to lock onto tanks and other vehicles for ground infantry w/Javelins or what not.

All-in-all, if there was an set objective for flying helicopter, he'd be PTFO'ing. Get off your "high horse" in a sense.

1: I'd hate to be your gunner. Barely any time to shoot at stuff as you fly too low/too fast/don't pause.

2: If you're getting locked on and know it's not a solfam and have flares up, don't run away and flare, just hang for a sec, see where the smoke trail is coming from, then flare and run away if your gunner doesn't have flares on.

3: If you're "pro" you wouldn't have flares equipped anyway. One 3rd seat tank gunner or solfam, and you're a sitting duck.

4: Other chopper sucked horribly.

It's mostly for the gunner's guided missile - which can lock onto air vehicles when they are designated.

With flares, you let the missile be fired before you deploy. So then they need to reload before firing again. Laser painter helps to detect enemy vehicles in your line of sight. It also helps others to lock onto it.

This IS sped up. You can tell by watching bullets, falling abjects, and the thing that completely gave it away was the lock on sound. It's higher pitched than in the real game. Also, a helicopter can't take off quite that fast.
