I don't really care about animals, in fact whether lobsters can feel pain without a central nervous system is debatable. However you can kill a lobster instantly by plunging a knife into it's head behind the eyes. I don't really care about animals, in fact whether lobsters can feel pain without a central nervous system is debatable. However you can kill a lobster instantly by plunging a knife into it's head behind the eyes. Not only do you not feel bummed about boiling them alive (I mean Ive eaten live animals and such but there's no reason to if you're boiling the lobby) also the meat is more tender because it's not alive to contract its muscles when it hits the hot water

In fact, if they were cute and furry everyone would just assume they felt pain, but since they look like bugs and taste nice, we'll just conveniently assume they feel no pain and it's okay to kill them.

Just because we may have all come from the same source (theory, not proven btw) does not change the fact that humans have had 25,000 years since the last evolutionary step change. Lobsters have been around since the dinosaurs, and their environment has changed little in that time. Humans are simply apes with turbocharged monkey brains attempting to be civilised, whereas lobsters are nearly *perfect* for their environment.
