how many of you actually paid for after effects? I see so many people using the program, and using photoshop, but these programs are not cheap at all. I was able to buy it cheap because I used it for college courses.

These programs are so common though, I just cant imagine that most of the people who use it actually pay for it. Especially people who aren't familiar with the software.

@chadd990 I actuall own Photoshop CS, After Effects CS4, and DreamWeaver. Altogether I spent well over $1,000 at the time of purchasing it and I had no knowledge how to work these programs. But thanks to the "How to" videos on youtube I learned.

I made the eyes in photoshop then I masked out the area of the eyes and track motioned the photoshoped image behind the mask to match where the original eyes were :)

@HuntersX2NCreations even how to make the white bits black, Gambit eyes are not just the pupil and iris it's the celera bits that are black too.

Thats why the film failed! Should have had black eyes mostly with red glow! It's a key ingredient in Gambits character!

You need to record some white smoke on a black background than get rid of the background with an alpha matte. Use colorama to change the color of the smoke. The glow is done tweeking some glow effects and putting a white solid layer over the card then messing with it's opacity until you get the desired effect :)

Yes, Gambit, my favorite X-man. From the audiance POV, the card could make the energized effect alittle more ....saturated, this case it looks more like a fine mist. But the eyes effect very well done.
