  • It depresses me that there is still an enormous chunk of the human population that disagrees with science, simply because they fail to understand it.

  • i think marko rodin has the answer to what caused the big bang, and its a very strange singularity. It's very hard to understand, they don't yet have it so that it's understandable to the public. I hope they got it all ready by the time i get out of university with a degree in physics.

  • SCIENCE RULES!!!!

  • @potholer54 Eee! It's been years since I 'eard Jake Thackray,....ta very much like. :-)

  • Still one of my favourite videos on YouTube.

  • this is one beautifully eloquent video! thanks!

  • And also... I really like your videos and your conclusions.

  • I many of your videos, you show people abusing scientific data to support false theories and claims. You stress that people manage to take valid and relevant information, misinterpret it, create a false hypothesis and use it to gain a large audience. But you do not put to blame on science itself! Why then do you blame religions for the misdeeds of their followers? I DO NOT claim that there is a religion that has an ultimate answer to everything but they could pass on important information.

  • I'm so glad I discovered your channels, I'v known you for a week and your one of my favourite YouTubers already

  • THANK YOU for this Made Easy Series. I have discovered that some "higher ups" take the Christian bible literally, so I am studying it. I think that the writings are fascinating mythologies and should be studied as literature in school, so people like me who have knowledge in science also have knowledge in Christianity, so we can better relate to others. (I am more well versed in the myths and ideas of my pagan background.) I feel isolated within my idiom, but not within science. Viva Science!

  • Not being alive hundred your ago didn't bother you, so it won't bother you hundred years from now. The idea that being dead won't bother us is actually more comforting than living under fear you might go to hell. In fact I think its even better than the prospect of eternal life in heaven, at least you don't run a risk of getting bored.

  • your AWESOME

  • One of my favorite Mark Twain quotes. Paraphrased. I've never been afraid of dying, Before I was born I had been dead to billions of years and it never caused me the slightest inconvenience.

  • Well spoken brother.. !! thank you for this series.

  • Your videos make me very sad... that I didn't discover them sooner. =)

  • @SquareOFortune Thank you, exactly!!

  • Great series! :D Thanks!

  • I just watched through the entire “Made Easy” series. I love it. Thank you so much for all the work you put into it.

  • awesome channel... keep up the good work...

  • Jake Thackray, nice :D

  • 7:00 "and finally thank you to all those who've written in to tell me I'm going to hell"

    So much win.

    Epic just epic.

  • may Jesus and the holy goat reward you for your efforts in making this interesting series and may Ra and Zeus spread it like wildfire around the internet so that more people will listen to god damned reason and not fairytales.

amen brother. a simple romanian salutes you

  • Absolutely love the music at the end! You open new doors for me in more ways than one. Thanks Potholer54!

  • All of your docs are excellent! Similar to Hikerpunk, I am very impressed with them all. Please keep up the good work, indefinitely.

  • Excellent series. Thanks for making them.

  • These are an awesome set of videos and very easy to understand for the non scientist, thanks potholer54 i finally have something entertainin to show my very backwards creationist relatives

  • Good work mate. Very informative, easy and nice movies.

  • Christian science is usually definite or very close. Other science is usually maybe's and theorys. Go to youtube and watch videos about the Shroud of Turin, not just one watch a few!! If you are a very skeptical closed minded person dont bother, cause even tho its science you'd just flush it down the toilet. If you are open minded you should get something out of it! WATCH IT!

  • @bobobobobo73 Christian science? I don't know whether to laugh or cry? science predicts things based on theories. what has Christian science ever predicted?

  • nothing this vid says actually proves anything! just because apparently the animals evolved? doesnt rule out God! if science cant say what happened in the beggining doesnt that say something right there? science cant figure out the supernatural! tell me how the earth could have been made without an ETERNAL Creator? IT couldnt have! nothing can be made out of nothing! thats science! RIGHT?

  • @bobobobobo73

Did you even watch these videos? He said you can never dissprove god completely just as you can never absolutely prove a theory.

You cant prove Zeus doesnt exist just as we cant prove the christ god doesnt exist.

How do you know the beginning is supernatural, hwo do you know where the limit of science lies - are you claiming to be the ultimate scientist?

Just because science cant tell us yet doesnt me you or your bronze age religion can you fool

  • OMG YOU ARE SO AWESOME

    :D

  • DNA contains LANGUAGE. Language requires A MIND. Information exists independently of its medium. Case closed.

Also, Darwin lived back in the time of Lincoln. No way to look inside a biological cell. He presumed that a cell was just a simple blob of goo. NOW we've learned that a cell is made up of a universe of unspeakably sophisticated machines and systems governed by information and language.

  • Cont..

DNA code has revealed the truth about the origin of the species which is that biological life forms are the creative product of an extremely intelligent MIND.

"The physiological organs that make language possible are like any other part of your body."

The origin of language is thought + purpose.

Atheists believe that thought = random chaos

  • Negative. In a universe were there aren't minds to define what is what still has information in it.

A rock is still a rock and isn't not a rock.

Information is independent of anyone there to say what is there.

You say that biological life requires an extremely intelligent mind, Where did that mind come from?

  • I dont know?

  • Good job. You have given an answer that is the first step to learning.

See, if you had said "This mind had always been" You would have had to defend your argument. Then I would have said that would it be easier to say that intelligence has always been?

Cause the way it would go would be something along the lines of infinite regress.

But you saying that you don't know means that you are open to new information.

Good job. You get a gold star.

  • hello, i'm an atheist.. i do NOT believe that "thought = random chaos"

please, don't misrepresent or put words in other people's mouthes in such a way...

  • what is "thought" to you then?

  • chaos with a purpose chosen by the entity from which is originates ;)

  • Very Good!!!

That sounds like a creator to me!!

are you sure you are on the right side? : )

  • i'm not on any sides so i guess that answer would be... maybe? :p

  • So, are you one the circle of never knowing?

  • You can be on my side then, I am not on anyone's side either really, though it may look so sometimes :S.. So we can be on no side together, how about that?

  • no, lets together be seperate on different non-sides :D?

  • Omg, my head is actually spinning after that one.

How about being together, seperately on different non-sides then?

  • hmm perhaps..

But dont you rethink that it might be wrong not to be three others not on the same seperate, but yet indistinguishable sides, only divided by a rubber band and a line of gravy mixxed with dirty bathwater?

i mean, think about the children!

oh won't somebody think of the children?? :o

  • FACTS stated in the BIBLE for thousands of years BEFORE they were "scientifically confirmed":

    - Time had a beginning

    - The universe had a beginning

    - The universe was created from the invisible

    - The dimensions of the universe were created

    [Quantum Physics supports this also]

  • MORE FACTS stated in the BIBLE 4 thousands of years BEFORE they were "scientifically confirmed": - The universe is expanding - Creation of matter and energy has ended in the universe [refutes steady-state theory] - The earth is controlled by the heavens - Earth is a sphere - Earth is suspended in space - Sun orbits on a circuit - Earth began as a waterworld - Light is in motion - The earth is controlled by the heavens - At any time, night and day exist symultaniously on the earth
  • MORE FACTS stated in the BIBLE for thousands of years BEFORE they were "scientifically confirmed":

    - The universe is winding down and will "wear out"

[second law of thermodynamics ensures that the universe will run down due to "heat death"-maximum entropy]

    - Required order of elements in order for the planet to sustain life.

    - Number of stars exceeds a billion

    - Every star is different

    - Pleiades and Orion as gravitationally bound star groups

    - Light is in motion

  • You failed to meation that the Gene pattern that you showed leads back to a "Couple", you know the ADAM and EVE story in the bible.

There is much Science in the Bible, one just must be willing to look for it.

Also, please explain Evil to me, is this just something that is just made up?

Was that Ben Stien talking (no offence to Ben)?

  • MORE FACTS stated in the BIBLE for thousands of years BEFORE they were "scientifically confirmed": - Water cycle described - Valleys exist on the bottom of the sea - Vents exist on the bottom of the sea - Ocean currents in the sea - Air has weight - Winds blow in circular paths - The chemical nature of human life - Life of creatures are in the blood - The nature of infectious diseases - Importance of sanitation to health
  • Thank you!!!!

  • It's simple, you are a true intellectual. i was very skeptical of Religion, but now you have convince me to bury religious thoughts to the deepest of grave that it deserve. There is more to ourself than those religious junks wants us to believe. Congratulations.

  • When I saw the picture I couldn't recognize a trail of destruction (I couldn't quite make-out that much destraction, actually) but parts of the city looked inundated so I guessed flood. In the actual flood picture I saw a bunch of shards of wood and twisted metal and I usually associate that with tornado aftermath based on TV shows I've seen about natural disasters

  • That grim reaper song was hilarious.

  • thank you for this great series!

  • First off sculpt2live,I don't think anyone knows for certain whether theres a deity or not,but we can be inclined towards an opinion based on the material we read. You never mentioned in your post exactly what I've said that makes me 'ignorant'.Secondly, you're a really bad representation for evolutionists because you're extremely rude.If you haven't got the manners to debate at a mature level then don't bother post anything up!

  • Ok,lets take the topic of 'is there a creater or not?'.Is it just by absolute coincidence that intelligent beings like us came into existence because of a bang, hello, that's ridiculous!!We just happen to be on a planet that totally supports our existence by supplying an abundance of oxygen and perfect temperature. Also after going through the whole reproductvie system and seeing a human is created, this had to be engineered by someone or something, processes like this don't just happen by chance!!

  • how do you cnow that it does not hapend by chanse. how has ever said that it hapends by chance. life is fonamona that is governd by laws of nature that are self exsistant. theres no need for god. water nad oxygen are werry comon in are universe and life is pretty simple fonamona. if you think about it its pretty stypid to say that life needs desiner.

  • You still haven't really address any of my points.I totally understand there are laws of nature, but they don't create human beings,or any other type of beings for that matter. The question is how did we come into existence, and the best answer scientists can give us was that everything is as it is because of a big bang, that's crazy.Look at us,look at how efficient our bodies work, they're phenominal, and you're telling me they came into existence without a designer or creator???

  • Well err...

There is a mathematical field called probability that disagrees with you...

And why doesn't jupiter or saturn spawn life? Err well because the conditions are not correct.

The universe does not adapt to life. Life adapts to the universe. We didn't come to be because of the big bang, but we came to be because the conditions about the earth were good enough to promote life. The process is simply called Evolution. The gradual change of species into superior ones better adapted to live

  • If you can point out a few known cases of evolution I'll be willing to listen.Evolution is a simple process like a tree growing into the direction of the sun. When you look at the reproductive system, how does evolution account for that??You're not only talking about the creation of another body, but the creation of another soul!Yet if its all down to science, you point out the scientist that can create a human being in his or her lab from gases and liquids??

  • Simple. As life got more complex, anything that couldn't also replicate itself died out, so complex reproduction evolved. And there is no proof of a soul, so that's not an argument against evolution or reproduction.

And no scientist claims human beings popped out of gases and liquids. Did you even watch this series? Honestly...

And I'm not going to explain the complex process of aging in a Youtube comment. Try looking it up yourself before saying scientists don't have any explanation.

  • And even if they don't have a comprehensive explanation, that does not mean we resort to saying a deity does it. It simply means we need to expand our knowledge in that area.

And no, sin doesn't explain aging and death. If it did, we'd see a direct relationship between "sinning" and natural lifespan. Unfortunately, no one has come out with such a revolutionary concept in medicine, despite searching for methods to extend the natural lifetime.

And what substance abuse are you refering to?

  • I've studied the Bible extensively and I just can't see how people can think it's totally irrelevant and that it was created by some political elite.I guess thats why I'm leaning in that direction.I don't just think a deity exists because it's an easy conclusion to come to.

I've just started watching the made easy series for schools but I kept having to go back because I found it difficult to understand.Chemistry isn't one of my strongest fields,so maybe I can be blamed for that.

  • I never claimed humans can be grown in a lab just like that. That's utter bollocks if you think that can be done.

A few? Look around you! They're everywhere. It's a gradual process of change that aims (not conciously of course) to be best adapted to the environment. Look at the fossil record, yes lots of it in there, not every single step but solid enough evidence to say so.

Oh and if there really is a soul please show evidence of that to. And I mean fact not what a scripture says.

  • As others have said here, scientists don't think it all happened by chance any more than you do. We think it happened based on physical laws of nature we can derive through applying the scientific method.

As for where we came from, it's just another set of laws that govern biological origins and diversity. And these laws are explained by evolution and abiogenesis. These were found and work in the same way gravitation was. It just has different results: life.

    The big bang explains the

  • origin of the universe, not the origin of life. And how is it less crazy to say a big sky daddy wiggled his fingers to create the universe and us than to believe in the big bang, abiogenesis, and evolution? And how is it more helpful?

And if our bodies are so perfect and efficient, explain to me what medicine is. Explain to me genetic diseases. Explain to me how this "phenominal" system was designed by a perfect creator despite the fact that it requires care and help to prosper.

  • Thank you for all your videos. Presentations that rely on hard science instead of propaganda and hype are unfortunately quite scarce these days. I'll be sure to check periodically for updates here and keep searching for other sources of reliable information. Take care.

P.S. Love the songs at the end of this video. They remind me a bit of Tom Waits without the growling.

  • Please never stop making videos.

  • If there was a God he would thank potholer for bringing knowledge to his people.

But..... since there isn't a god, I will thank you for bringing knowledge to OUR people.

  • I really loved your series; simply explained and yet very accurate. I'm a biology student myself and learning a bit about human ancestry for instance was extremely interesting

  • Sweet ending song, keep up the good work Potholer

  • Fantastic series, potholder. Your voice is very pleasant to listen to as well. I have and will continue to try and spread this series around.

    Thank you!

  • Great Series Potholer. Very informative.

  • If you want to know about the big bang (and A LOT of other good stuff) you should google "academic earth", and there choose the instructor "Charles Bailyn".

He is a professor of astronomy and physics at Yale. There are 24 lectures there about astronomy and the big bang is discussed in lecture 16-18 (and mentioned elsewhere)

I recommend you watch all the lectures though. It is the best I have seen.

    Greetings!

  • I might add that the other lectures is about planetary orbits, finding exoplanets, general relativity, black holes, supernovae, pulsars, hubbles law, omega and the end of the universe, dark matter and energy, the "big rip"...

    ... and more

Everybody should really check it out!

  • Ill have a looksie, thanks for the headsup, always good to look at new information, if only to see if it makes sense at all. :) God bless. :)

  • Thanks for the reference.

  • excellent videos. i will be recommending them.

one small point of critique, though. in this video (and i think others as well), you refer to "deducing" when really you ought to say "inducing".

  • Thankyou for this excellent series.

    Keep up the great work.

  • Great series. You explain so many scientific methods and theories so much better than any teachers i had in school.

Keep up the good work. I would love to see you explaining concepts of space and time.

Awesome choices for music so far too

  • This must be like 4 years of basic science education for "kids" made in a few hours. Great work. Please do more.

  • Great series. Thanks for posting.

  • Awesome series. The evidence in science is consistent and your videos show that we should stop pretending with myths. Thank you for posting this series. Prayers are a way to pretend you're doing something without actually doing anything. Your series is full of win.

  • Epic series.

  • Fantastic series. Please keep posting. Great test of music. Lol

  • that sentence about not being bothered by not being alive 200 years ago was amazingly relaxing amusing and true

  • Fascinating series!

The photos of faces you used to illustrate the female and male ancestors - were they just illustrations, or were they picked - say to correspond to a face reconstructed from a skull of the appropriate age and location?

  • There is a fundamental flaw with your initial example of the murder. From a Creationists viewpoint, since you weren't there to see the murder, you can't actually know the time of the murder, much less whether or not she was murdered.

  • That may be, but the Creationist viewpoint is one of pure stupidity and denial then. While I agree you can't actually be sure she was murdered, this is beside the point. You can be sure she died at 10 o'clock. UNLESS all five pieces of evidence wrongly pointed at 10 o'clock, which is of course possible but so unlikely (think about it...) that it's not worth considering. This video is my all time favourite video. Show it to kids in schools before anything else.

  • Excellent series, very interesting to watch, I look forward to further videos of yours. Many thanks!

  • Epic video. Thank you for posting this.

  • Dude!!! This series is freaking AWESOME!!! Thank you!

  • formericeman wtf are you talking about the age of aquarius there's no such thing as astrology

  • he is talking about an age, it has something to do with how the earth tilts and soon we will be in the Aquarius age, right now we are in the fish one i think. look up zietgeist it explains it there.

  • Thank you for this series, I feel like I've just been lied to my whole life. Now I know the truth, and it's undeniable.

  • Great stuff. I have to say this entire series has been eye opening for me. I've been thoroughly grounded in religion for so long, it's nice to finally be out of the dark for a change. Thanks much!

  • This is simply the most brilliant, eloquent statement about the truth of humanity ever. Amazing.

  • "i ll be a bunch of atoms across the landscape"

yeah everything will be a bunch of atoms across the landscape eventually, or maybe coal or petroleum

  • i think i'll start a religion and worship you as a god

  • lol

  • Thank you Potholer54 for an excellent, informative and enjoyable series of videos. You have given me much entertainment and enlightenment over the months.

  • What he said. =]

  • you're view on death is very similar to mine, i didn't heard this from any body else beafore.. great work!

  • Thanks for a great series. You've really opened my mind to a world beyond that of superstition and dogma.

  • I'm very impressed with this series. I enjoy it and have passed it on.

I would like to take issue with your opinion that because so much is false with creation theories, a god does not exist. Using your own analogy, if all the data was inconsistent; the watch and clock gave different times, the phone company's records were wrong, this would prove the woman wasn't killed.

God is an unfalsifiable concept. There will never be proof god does not exist so to say there is proof is erroneous.

  • he didn't say it was 100% scientific proof, hes saying there is no evidence for creation therefore NO REASON to believe in man made god myths. On the other hand, there's mountains of evidence to support evolution and it is perfectly reasonable to accept evolution as a fact.

because we know evolution took place, we know god did not magically create the earth and all life 6000 years ago, so why believe that?

  • =a god does not exist=

On the contrary, I would never say that. I simply say there is no evidence for an invisible being like 'god' any more than there is evidence for pixies, fairies or unicorns. They could all exist. However, we do have clear evidence that the works attributed to the God of the Bible, Torah and Qu'ran never happened. So if you still want to argue that there's something called 'god' you have to redefine what that is.

  • I just went through it again and couldn't find the statement I thought I objected too. I feel awfully bad now and I'd like to apologize.

I'm actually an atheist for the reason that we've discovered god is not necessary for life to exist. Obviously, that doesn't prove a god doesn't exist, but it certainly doesn't compel me to believe.

  • Thank you werry much for all your time spend in these and I will be watching your work as it goes.

  • These are so great, and very educational. keep on doing it.

  • I really enjoyed this series. Well done!

  • BRAVO BRAVO!!! Great series and great wit.

  • I've learned so much from watching this whole series! Very clear and informative, sincere and lively. I couldn't recommend it more.

  • A superb series, you speak the undeniable truth. Keep up the good work!

  • Beautiful video series!!!

    Keep it up.

  • Thank you for this wonderful series. I enjoyed every episode. Thanks you for taking the time and making these!

  • Have you ever considered appearing on debates? I seriously dont see how anyone can challenge you. You just make complete sense.

  • =Have you ever considered appearing on debates?=

My prefered format is interviewer rather than debater. I like to see cabinet ministers cry.

  • potholer54

if u decide to be a prophet , and science is ur god , i'll be the first one to be with u

thank u so much I've really enjoyed this whole series

    Greetings from Saudi Arabia

  • I just determined the sex of the Christian God. The Bible says "He" made everything, but then it says "He" made us in his own image, which excludes women.

SInce the Bible then admits that God had a reproductive system like us, it has to mean it includes both male and female reproductive characteristics, regardless of the interpretation of the writers of the Bible.

We can then assume that God is a hermaphrodite.

  • lolz nice logic owns bible

  • Nice lol :D

  • Thank you very much, potholer54, I've really enjoyed this whole series; informative, entertaining and thought-provoking.

Good luck in your next venture.

  • Truly epic series. Hope you make a second one! :D

  • You're videos make Jesus cry :D

haha of course i am only kidding, great videos m8, keeping me busy :) very interesting stuff

  • Ps:

A question, is there a version with subtitles in spanish? I would like to show them to some people.

  • "is there a version with subtitles in spanish?"

Yes, you'll find them in my playlist "Translations."

  • Ok I made it to the last video, I'm just sad they are over :( But of course, Im far more happy for seeing them.

    Greetings from Mexico City ;)

  • Brilliant! Rivoting! You are a hero of modern intellectualism and of the internet for all time. Thank you.

  • Awesome Series, watched every single video

  • Ah, so you do see my point. I live in Alabama, US, and well . . . it can be scary how ignorant people can be of things that seem like common sense to us. You should really look into ways of promoting these videos. Not only to get the word/truth out but, you deserve some credit for taking the time & effort to make such great videos! I look forward to your future projects.

  • These videos are wonderful. In addition to your "debunking" series, you should do a More InDepth series on Evolution. And really dumb it down as if you were talking to someone who had absolutely NO knowledge of it what-so-ever. I've not been able to find such a video and after watching this you are skilled enough to do it for sure.

  • =you should do a More InDepth series on Evolution.=

The Made easy series was aimed at the level of 12-year-olds. Unfortunately a lot of creationists have trouble understanding it, so I'm planning a series on this channel, aimed at the level of 6-year-olds. I'll also do a video tentatively titled "A 3-year geology course in 10 minutes."

  • Excellent series.

  • Thank you for the series.

  • I love it in potholer's vids when god comes in from the top right corner and sprinkles a little magic onto things. Awesome videos man!

  • agreed!

  • >=[ YOU'RE GOING TO HELL!!!!!!

but that's ok. that's where all the cool kids go. XD see ya there!

  • Again, nice series. Are there any translations, I would like to show some of this in my school.

Especially I liked the end when you say what will happen when you die. Most people think that nobody can know how it feels to to be dead. But I always argument the same way as you and say that it feels the same as before I was born.

  • =Are there any translations,=

I have a translations playlist on my channel, but so far none in German. Someone was planning to do a German translation, so you might find it somewhere on YouTube.

  • I love this series, ran into it last night and got hooked. Nice quote from Mark Twain at the end btw.

  • Thanks for the series. This is ver well-produced. I'm even considering it as something for my creationist parents to watch.

Does anyone know where I can find a current torrent for download?

  • =Does anyone know where I can find a current torrent for download? =

Please see the video description. If you have problems, let me know.

  • I just watched all (well mostly listen while i worked ) great stuff

  • Excellent. Watched every one of 'em and I must say I was jumping up n down in joy. Many congrats, I really enjoy that - sum1 I can really related to. Take that you believers!!! Oh by the way can I get this on dvd, with subtitles ( for hearing impaired)

  • I watched this series following a recommendation, and I'll be making the same recommendation myself to anyone who will listen. Superb stuff!

  • Wonderful information, very entertaining.

  • Thank you for all your effort. Your series is wonderful

  • This is the second time I have watched this series in full. It is simply amazing. The author of this should be given a reward of some sort. Truly one of the greatest contributions on YouTube to our understanding of reality.

  • Isn't it possible that a "prayer" is actually a process of reasuring oneself of ones own decision(s)? ... A question arises of what that in turn is to be defined as. I mean "reasurance" is only possibly dependant on being of a certain species, or perhaps of being built up of more than one cell.

  • I think your identification is accurate. As a mormon I prayed thousands of times. It's not an entirely meaningless ritual, though, like you say, prayer is there for a reason. But god is not that reason.

  • Amazing. Simply amazing series.

  • Thanks for this series. I've been greatly entertained and educated :)

  • awesome!!! science pwns all!

  • fantastic series

  • Excellent work. This series of videos is fantastic. It's such a shame that main stream broadcast TV seems unable to communicate in such a direct manner.

  • i d be glad to trasnlate your dvd once it is ready

  • =i d be glad to trasnlate your dvd once it is ready =

I think someone's been working on a German version. You could word-search "The History of the Universe" (whatever that is in German) in YouTube and see if you can find it. If not, I'd love to have German subtitles if you'd like to do it.

  • i was looking for it already but i couldnt find one

  • If you really want to translate these, I might be able to assist, or control your work, if you want to. I'm German, living in Australia but still capable of speaking German.

Write me a pm, if you're interested

  • Wow. Thank you so much for creating that series and posting it for free, I just watched the whole thing. Everything was amazing, thank you.

  • Thanks for the series I thoroughly enjoyed every one I also thoroughly enjoy thinking about how much videos like these must make creationists want to puke stamp their feet and scream when they realize that they are Horribly monumentally wrong.. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHA THANKS

  • "these books are erroneous"?

070.039-41 By no means! For We have created them out of the they know!

Now I do call to witness the Lord of all points in the East and the West that We can certainly-

Substitute for them better than they; And We are not to be defeated (in Our Plan).
