i grew up on g.i. joe...used to watch it every day after school . i was in the fourth grade when it came out. i was a storm shadow fan from the beggining.{ i wanted to be a ninja, it was the eighties o.k.} i was very turned off by the way the movie treated the storm shadow character. it sucked biggtyme to put it mild.

I was dissapointed at the G.I.Joe movie who didn't respect a lot of things and characters from the real story but Storm Shadow was handsome and I liked to see him in the movie.

Well, Storm Shadow(Lee Byung Hun) is 'real' tough guy in movie and in real at same time. He enrolled in big roles for mainly United States and South Korea. He's renowned for a big hitted drama 'Iris' and he's really famous in Japan and Korea.

Yes, I'm surprised that given that Paramount made this (Paramount being the same studio behind the atrocious looking Last Airbender, with its white lead actors playing Asian roles), they actually cast an actor of Asian descent to play Storm Shadow. Thankfully, they didn't screw that up. So what's their racist excuse for not casting people of Asian descent to play the Asian roles in Last Airbender?

i think there are 3 things that say he comes back

1) they dont show the "killing" blow

2) they dont show the body- it sinks rather than floats

3) it would go against one of the biggest and interesting feuds in the story

the film opened well in the U.S. so yep he's signed on for the sequel, i guess he didn't die :)

I enjoyed the movie, big mindless fun :) he's character was way too cool to kill off in my opinion, if that did happened I would boycott the sequel haha

Lee Byun Hoon was a perfect fit for Storm Shadow...Storm Shadow was never a REAL bad guy...just conflicted over his rivalry with Snake Eyes, with that said Lee Byun Hoon is not really a "bad guy" nor does he have the look...I hope he doesn't die in the film and he makes way for the sequel (if the movie turns out good that is)
