I fly that route a lot. I start my decent after KSAN and make sure not to go below 3500 contact tower, once clear of the cooridor i drop all flaps and decend on the way to qualcom then enter bease for 28 r o L..controller seems to like this the best. since they usually ask me to do this when I contact them out of the cooridor. HAVE FUN!
