  • what scars me is f you go down to far theres no water only pure sulfuric acid srtong enough to melt your bones :(

  • @eyesea4ever Actually its more like ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, and nearly oxygenless water. It doesnt melt your bones but it can get into you trough your skin and poison you. But the top thirty feet or so is nice.

  • That is some seriously horrible freeform jazz

  • do these jellies cntains stinging cells like the otheres cus how to ppl visit there and see it with out fear of getting stung i not afraid of nutting but jelly fish dude i no scared of scorpions

  • when i first went to jellyfish lake, when i was in 3rd grade, i was scared out of my mind. then i relaxed and soaked in the beauty. if you ever go there also visit clam city, gigantic clams everywhere.

  • my parents got a furnitureshop called palau. sorry for my bad english i'm dutch

  • omfg palau is friekin awesome. if u hav the chance 2 go there u should. its hella cool.

  • actually this lake is not a freshwater lake, it is a marine lake. the ocean water is fed through the limestone island into the lake, where the jellyfish live. the lake goes up and down with the tide, about an hour behind. so the jellyfish aren't freshwater.

  • you are fat and they are fresh water stfu dont ruin our fantasy

  • roflmao

  • ROFL MY DOFL!

  • Ps. Palau is cool just watch out for the beetlenut spit .. Its the islands tabbaco..

  • everyone is missing the point ... this is the only fresh water jelly fish in the world ..

  • yea and this is one of three locations in the world too

  • annoying music but very very cool movie! god id be damn scared to swim there:S they should use that lake as a torture place for murderers and rapists!!! agree???

  • Medeski, Martin and Wood

  • I'm not sure why I care, but what is MMW music? Sounds circa '75.

  • very cool...there is so many of them!

  • This is so weird, but so nice too.

  • the music sounds like my I.Z

  • are jellyfish good eating?

  • spongebob would love this

  • i want to kill all

  • Beautifull MAN!!

  • lol anything+jellyfish is scary! so nice guts! lol

  • okay music + jellies = horror film.

If they dont sting though i bet they're fun to bump into.. they look so soft...

  • I hate deem so much :P

  • This music is hilarious. It's so crazy and weird sounding!!! It's like EEEEAH-whir-whir-whir-EEEEAH-whir-whir-whir-EEEEAH-whir-whir-whir-...

  • the music is by medeski, martin and wood from the dropper... fantastic jazz trio... check em out. swimmin with them jellies was trippy like the tune, that's why it's there... i have another shorter version with carmina barona but it seemed so cliche...

    go to palau!

  • i cant believe the music comments. lol i love mmw

  • I love the music, but the jellyfish get boring after a couple of minutes - too much panning around. We GET the idea that there's a lot of them. It would be nicer to follow one for a while.

BTW consider using vocals in the music, and treating them the same way the instruments are.

  • Cool video, but WTF with the music? It was about as bad as Fran Drescher reciting Shakespeare while dragging her nails across a chalkboard. On acid. Ouch man.

  • Wow what a stupid video.

!!!!!!!!And god was that music anoying or what !!!!!!!

  • fuck that bull shit music, jellies :P

  • I love that music!

  • The background music is quite special, is this mixed by you?

  • because of that music i didnt watch this entire vid

  • WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT MUSIC.

  • What a terrible and horrible music!!!!

  • there not jellyfish that sting there actually very fragile and can die if toucheed too hard and i think my ears are bleeding fom this horrid music

  • i tend to think of jellyfish as plants considering they just float around and have no brains. but there still pretty cool.

  • A few years ago I was fishing in Timagami in Ontario Canada, and there were thousands of jellyfish there too. Except the ones I saw (and brought home) were smaller and didn't have the frilly stuff hanging beneath them.

  • This is a great clip, but the music is very strange. Was it written by aliens or something?

  • palau is very beautiful. you can also swim with manta ray and white tip sharks

  • no the jelly fish ther dont sting, they have no natural predators so they lost stingingness

  • that guy has guts swiming with jelly fish wow

  • That so cool, but wouldnt jelly fish be plants instead of animals then?

  • mmw is who made the music, I think

  • From the shirtless guy swimming around, I'm guessing they aren't poisoness

  • arenl;t those things poisonous?

  • Nope.

  • i hate jelly fishes =(

  • ive been to places like tht its really scaryer than watching it. ther all around and watching you...freaky

  • Fantastic video, with audio that goes really well with the subject. Great stuff! I'm going to look out more on MMW now.

  • whats mmw?

  • According to the poster, MMW is the band/ensemble that does the audio. Another poster, Casper mentions they're called Medeski Martain and Wood.

  • Imagine the Jellyfish Soup you could make with a boat prop ... that music is annoying!!!

  • wow...ty they still scary tho but fascinating

  • damn.. that music is annoying aaaah

  • Lol run away...

  • where is nemo? LOL

  • this lake was on survivor palau! :D

  • Beautiful place

    Terrible music!!

  • It's funny cause I was actually watching this on tv tonite

  • can we do sushi using jelly fish? :)

  • Medeski Martain and Wood... good shit

  • Hmm, if its a place where only jelly fish live, no preds and they photosythesize then doesnt that mean they have very little genetic variation which just by swimming in the lake that if one dies from a certain disease they all die.

  • That's not really true as DNA passes on random genetic defects/variations to every generation - and if they all came from the same 'family' they are inbred which means the genetic defects are more frequent.

  • wow, i would hate to swim in there!

    lol

lake Palau.. sounds Hawaiian... is this in Hawaii?

  • Palau is part of the Micronesia Islands. About 3000 miles away from Hawaii

  • It's not Lake Palau, it's Jellfish Lake IN Palau.

  • Lol.. that's awesome... watch " LineRider Snowy2 "

  • squishie!

  • they are small! someone should import these so I can have a few in my aquarium

  • I have the full Documentary on this lake. They say at the bottom of this lake is gases that you cannot stay at the bottom of it for more than 3 minutes. Or it seeps into your skin as a poison and you can die. But thats where the jellys go at night is in those depths. And return every day to the surface. Wierd stuff man!

  • Yeah, there's a layer at the bottom of the lake, about 60 feet down, of unoxygenated phosphate. Incredibly posionous. That's why no one scuba dives there.

  • I think the music has to do with the fact, that stingers or no stingers, swimming with jellies is suicide.

  • 1 star soley for the music.

  • @_@

  • i think the music was well chosen for this content nice one!

  • gay music

  • my ears are bleeding!

  • ahahaha yeah, my ears are bleeding too. brutal music. great images though!

  • ". . . just isn't music."

  • hmm... sounds like an audio acid trip

  • OMG do the sting ?? are they dangerous ?? i m guessing so cos no one gone i n the water

  • these are the only kind of jellyfish that don't sting because a veeeery long time ago they got separated from the sea, and they have no predators in this lake so they don't need their stingers any longer and lost them. Palau is famous because it's the only place in the world where you can swim with and even through the jellyfish. :)

  • where is this place?

  • if you look at other videos people are swimming with the jellyfish and even holding them in their hands. same location

  • eeeew =o

  • hahaha I love the music. It looks funny with the jellies! LOL

  • wow, that is the only word for it. wow

  • who ever made that song probably was high

  • LOL i rofled at that one.

  • is this lake just full of one species of jelly? it looked like there were a few that were a little different than the rest. are they maybe just in different stages of life?

  • There's two types of Jellyfish in this lake. The brown ones are the more common, the Medusa Jellyfish. Those are the ones you see in the video. There are also the Moon Jellyfish, and those are white. Much rarer.

  • the music's a little off!

  • hardly call it music.
