  • #4 hit for Lewis in the summer of 1930 as Columbia 2217.

  • Horarwgt, That's what pressing this is. Love those columbia laminates! Hope you enjoyed the record. Thanks for watching.

    Regards, J.

  • Thanks! Ted Lewis always makes me want to drink.

  • Vanness5, Enjoy! Thanks for the comment. Regards, J.

  • I have a Model 163 and it is also nice, and weighs a ton. These machines can belt out alot of volume in my opinion are as loud as any table top model and probably as loud as many of the console models. I am not sure why the are so heavy. I would say yours sounds great!!!

  • Calumettv, Because they are built solidly! Heh Heh. Columbia made a very good portable phonograph. Thanks. Regards, J.

  • I did, 'fuzz'...

  • "Yellow Dog Blues" was recorded on April 18, 1930...

  • FTSL, Thanks 'much appreciated. I hope you enjoyed the clip. Regards, J.

  • Sounds Great. That is one of Ted Lewis better efforts.

  • Victrolaman1, Glad you liked it, thanks. Regards, J.

  • Great machine! ive seen a 1925 columbia portable (with a first design viva-tonal reproducer) tht im going to try and obtain one of these days!

  • Bing, The Viva-Tonal Columbia portables can sound fantastic! This one can fill a room with music. This one is substantial too-it weighs a ton! Ha Ha! They are a very good machine. Good luck. YF, J.

  • Your videos all have such good sound. Thanks for this posting.

  • G.., Thank you very much. I think they could sound better, but as I said-we are always our own worst critics! As Cole Porter said: Experiment! Heh Heh! YF, J.

  • This quite unreal. As a small boy of 9 or 10 living in Liverpool UK I was given this 78rpm with a pile of secondhand records. It became a great favorite of mine and played it incessantly on a very similar wind up

I can't beleive 60years have passed, you have made my day Many thanks

  • Happy..., You have made my day as well! It's always such a treat to hear that I've rekindled a happy memory. Thank you and Happy New Year. Regards, J.

  • Heh Heh! Not quite that soon. I've still got a few other surprises up my sleeve.......

    Regards, J.

  • Yes, fuzzbear is getting modern!!! You have reached the 1930's and over a couple of months you listen to the Andrew Sisters... Ohh dear!!! I like your Columbia, and your record. Thanks
