John Sterling is likely the most egotistical buffoon in the history of broadcasting. (and there are a LOT of THEM!) I listened to him going back to when I was a kid; he was on WMCA in New York City doing a sports call-in show. Then on WSB in Atlanta and did a call-in show there. All the while, snotty, arrogant, sarcastic and condescending to all his callers, whether they were the northerners calling WMCA or the southerners calling WSB. A hateful and mean person, a poor excuse for a human being.

for information, I was born in Athens, Greece. Moved to Maryland at the age of 3. My Father traveled a lot to Boston and took me to Red Sox games while we were up there. Well I loathe him and Waldman, and every yankee fan I know can't stand him, so to correct your statement; Some of the yankee universe embraces him and almost none of abroad.
His homerun calls are embarrassing and unfunny. If he would stop with the corny rymes after a homerun, I would enjoy to listen to him much more. He and Waldman in-tow ruin the game.

I'm a Yankee fan and I enjoy listening to John Sterling on the radio. Susan Waldman is ok, and Charlie Steiner was ok as his broadcast partner, but I miss when Michael Kay was with him, they made an awesome team. Mike is on the YES Network now. John is a true baseball broadcasting legend. And to those who don't like him, then why did you even watch the video? All I can say is THEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE YANKEES WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!
