a' the talk about this being a scottish song is neither here nor there even tho it is " a.k.a the Lewis bridal song" but it suits the irish style of playing very well
two people gave ye a thumbs down, I gave y e a thumbs up, personally I do ont care if it's scottish or Irish, its celtic and that's what matters. I don't know why people would care, like you said. I think there's two different timings or something for irish and scottish, but we have the same culture basically, good tune aswell.
We have similar cultures (a fact which I celebrate), but not the same. It is a Scottish song, but is also enjoyed by the Irish - saying that the song is an Irish song is nothing but incorrect.
yes exactly, I also celebrate that fact, people don't realise the similarities scottish and irish have, it's iromic too that people saying that this is an irish song are more than likely american or from a nation that is not celtic

Excellent! I especially like the female vocalist's voice [and I'm saying this as a female aspiring folk singer myself.]

Someone's given me a thumbsdown, clearly they don't like the truth - why would someone be particularly bothered if it's actually Scottish? :/
