i use it as face lotion in the morning and apply it to my cheak bones and any dry areas i have like my chin. i love it!!! it makes me look more awake since my face is really dry in the morning
Ponds has a new formula for their cold cream that doesn't work as well. If you look for the store brands of cold cream such as CVS, Family Dollar, Equate, Up & Up, etc, it's the same formula as the old formula.
But although cleansing oil is better, I think this is great way to cleanse skin when ur comes home late and tired and u want to quickly clean face in a non-messy way. Maybe if u do it properly, useing the cold cream once instead of double-cleansing will be enuff.
However cold cream may leave residue on skin, which prevents absorbtion of serum/moisturiser u apply next
It kinda sucks that u needs 2 use the cold cream twice, then still wash wif another cleanser, and then using cold cream again to remove eye makeup. :(
I recommends highly trying cleansing oil instead. Asian ladies almost all use cleansing oils these days, cos it's gentle and THE MOST thorough way of removing makeup/sunblock, and i know i maybe bias, but asian girls haf the best skin of all from whad iv seen. And wif cleansing oil, u uses it once and ure done, but its a little messy.
Have you never used Noxzema? It was like the teenage version of Pond's when I was a teen. I'm surprised people are using cold cream now. The Noxzema girl sold me on cold cream over 16 years ago and I'm 30 now.
wow.. people say ponds isnt recommended for oily skin.. well guess what? i use ponds all the time and i have oily skin. and the ponds cold cream doesnt make my face oily.
@cherryapple2010 I have comb/oily skin, as well, and I love cold cream. However, I don't use the Ponds brand anymore because they took out the best ingredients and added all sorts of chemicals. I buy the Family Dollar brand, which has sodium borate, mineral oil, and beeswax in it. It has actually cleared up my adult acne and made my skin so much more even-toned. I leave it on overnight for best results.
I saw one girl do a review, and she just wiped hers off with a dry towel and didn't wash after. I have sensitive skin and Rosacea, so it hated alot of rubbing...I just tissue it off. I can't use alot of the washes, as they dry me out, over time. I HATE Clinique D.D. lotion - I used to use it and LOVED it until they changed it years ago and now I can't use the lotion or gel...both really irritate my skin! Thank you! Enjoyed it! Oh, and wipes are bad for skin too, I just found out.
you are using waaaaay too much ! i have it too , i loooove it :DD but it only takes a teeny bit for your whole face , you shouldnt be able to see it after you apply it .
I have combination oily skin and I am currently using makeup remover wipes to get my makeup off by they dry out my skin so much and it's uncomfortable. Do you think if I used this at night to take off my makeup and then went and washed off my face with cleanser it would be okay for my oily/acne-prone skin?
@DanaInWonderland93 I just learned wipes are bad for your skin. They have too much alcohol and press the makeup into your skin...just what I heard. Hope it helps.
@DanaInWonderland93 Yeah if u washes your face wif cleanser after using makeup remover wipes, its totally fine. Sumtimes when im tired, i jus use makeup remover wipes, then wipe wif toner and im done. Not recommended if u use heavy makeup of cos.
Btw I recently found that u shud uses makeup remover wipes containing oil to cleanse thoroughly. Especially if u use waterproof sunblock. Makeup remover wipes that don't contain oil can't do the job properly.
i was wondering if the Neutrogena oil free acne wash dries out your skin, because I already have dry skin like you and I read some reviews saying it really dried out other peoples skin.
@ChibiQT I have have combination/oily skin and I use the oil free acne wash and I think it will dry out your skin a lot if you have dry skin. It's a great facial cleanser but if you really want to try it make sure you use LOADS of moisturizer afterwards because it sort of dries out my own skin.
Nice! I've just started using Jergen's multi-purpose face cream. It's so damn old school and I never thought to use it until now. I also use the same Neutrogena wash. I usually wash my face, then throw on the cream and kinda wipe it off and it's been great... I'll probably start doing it the other way around (or cream before AND after) now. Thanks for the video, lady!
i love ponds cold cream its the only thing i use to clean my face besides dial soap! i used the coool classic first & when that ran out i switched to the cucumber one which is less oily & a little more watery. it works wayy better than the classic. my skin used to have alot of acne due to my combo/dry skin but not anymore, only the occasional spot from the monthly menses :)
I have had acne for a long time and I finally realized it was because I was not keeping my makeup clean. Be sure to wash your hands before dipping your hands in the ponds jar and do not put your hands back in after you've touched your face. You will transfer germs from you acne into your ponds jar.
I have never seen Ponds cold cream for oily/combination skin. That's why I never buy it because I have normal to oily skin. Where do they sell a variety of Ponds cold creams? They typically have one jar at Walgreen's for dry skin but never oily. Anybody know?
If you have skin issues I recommend you stop wearing makeup... I mean honestly your face doesn't look bad without makeup even in the computer's obnoxious blue light (obnoxious cause it makes skin look blue xDD). Also...doesn't wiping your face with a tissue hurt?
i like the good old fashion cream. One tip to keep the cream fresh and clean is to use a plastic spoon or a sample stick to scoop the cream out. Not trying to sound offensive but our hands are very dirty so if you wah really well with some friction you'll see the dirt come off. READY TO CLEANSE you'll have a better result maybe thats why people complain of more breakouts...???
it worked for me - i only use a little bit and use a cotton bud to apply it to my face, washing your face with your normal face wash/cleanser removes any oil/dirt left
I've found that using cold cream to remove makeup will actually subdue your skin's urge to make oil. I was having an issue with blackheads in the corner of the nose with some dryness as well. I used the cold cream as a cleanser, using a warm washcloth to gently remove it. Amazing improvement.
@realwoman50 That's interesting because when I used to use cold cream, I always had blackheads on the tip of my nose and now I NEVER even see one EVER...yet, I want to go back to cc, for my drier skin..so, I watch and see if I start getting them again. LOL
Hi can the cream be washed off with water as well?. I have dry skin but i bought the refreshing cold cream for oily/combination skin beicause i dont want my face to be oily afterwards and biecause i have some acne. Do u think this will work.
@pinksaphire100 Yup! I do that sometimes too. You can get super cheap wash cloths from Walmart, just soak them with warm water and gently buff it off. It exfoliates and removes makeup. :)
I didn't know that I had dry skin, thank you for telling me I only break out on my chin and cheeks, not my t zone. I just started using ponds and I love it. It leaves my skin so soft and my scars are fading.
I have to admit, that is one hot ass beard!! lol!! I got this stuff tonight and im so excited to use it! Thats y i am watching videos over it! lol, im weird!
