I was lucky enough to hear Ron Sexsmith on the Vinyl Cafe CBC in 2006 playing songs with just his acoustic guitar. He played this really beautiful one, then said it was written by a Bob Snider, who was on the scene with him in the 1980's Toronto. They've finally re-released Caterwaul & Doggerel (1995) so you can hear his great music for yourself too by simply googling him under Borealisrecords
Thanks for putting this up! I haven't seen Bob in too long; the finest slinger-wrongslighter in all Canadia, imho. I've been a huge fan since hearing his He's An Old Nova Scotian on a promo comp in the 80s sometime, A genius & great spirit, though he'd probably be the last to admit it.
Hey sound man... What kind of vocal mike did you use? Sounds wonderful. Bob is one of Canada's treasures. Absolutely captivating song and performance. Thanks to all who made this happen.
Amazing. I've never seen anyone play guitar that way. He seems to have travelled a long hard road and documented the trip for us to help us make sense of all of this and remind us that there is no making sense of this. He's great at telling the story and his lyrics have made me wonder if I might be crazy. This is the songwriting at it's highest.
Wow oh wow...That just left me speechless. Bar none, the best thing I have seen in a long time. Sometimes talent comes to us in visions of nonsense and disbelief. A man who can write and perform like that has accomplished much and in my mind has achieved everything worth achieving. Thank you for sharing this on Youtube.

It is brilliant isn't it? I've listened to this tune many times before and it stirs my emotions every time with intensity.

Hope my dictionary works: Humility. I feel. Makes me all silent and attentiv. This man is fascinating me (and reminding me of someone I know...)
