There good to a point. Mines is Pure Digital; Flip is a after market name. Mine is so last year that it only can be downloaded and uploaded on Google Video or Grouper formally Crackle. The files are hard to find on you computer, but a program called Nero can locate them. There is no discs required. All the software is in the camera. the zoom is like making 10 feet look like 1. Better off getting a Sony Handycam. Might have to check Amazon or Best Buy for some more info.
