In the official story, Li Long was the first who fought Cervantes in the Spanish Harbor, but was fatally wounded and die short after. Few days later, Sophitia and Taki went to the Harbor and fought Cervantes. Sophitia destroyed the Female Edge (the small one) but was wounded by a fragment of the sword. Taki continues to fight Cevantes and impale him with the Male Edge.

A week later, Siegfried found the corpse of the pirate, took the sword and Inferno posseses the dead body of Cernates in flames. They fought, Siegfied won but was possessed by the sword and the history continues in Soul Calibur series.
