if you would know, punkpop was the name given to bands that are also known as melodic hc. Ramones said they were punkpop, Screeching Weasel admitted it. Descendents were a band playing it. Those are some heavy names, and blink or gd aren't worthy to lick the ground in front of 'em. So talk about influence after listening to them.

And punkpop is a sub-genre of punk, like skunk or hc. For some reason it seems to be too much for 'real punx'. (i don't like MTV-punk for your notice.)

They're so incredible live. And all of it is good, American Idiot is just filled of poor lyrical content and its a stupid gimmick that appeals to all 13 year olds across the world (see: 2004).
