  • I haven´t known what she´s singing, but I think it´s sounds better as when she has sung this song englishenglish

  • This is beautiful. I'm not sure what to say, even after my 5th listen. She must be f*cking proud to have such a voice and such a song.

  • Like From KOSOVO-Albania

It was really the best song in that eurovision

  • @troublek1ng

thank you.serbia and albania should be the biggest brothers but the NATO seperated us...

  • Thanks for letting us enjoy this brilliant number even more!

"Your name is my only Prayer" is so much more powerful than just "Destiny"

  • i always get tears in my eyes cuz i understand the song without the subtitle it's so touching me...just amazig the best serbian song ever and i believe me i know lot :)

  • Finally know what this song means, thank you, loved that song at the time but appreciate even more now.

  • 8 ljudi nemaju pojma od muzike.

    melodija + tekst + GLAS = savrseno

    Pozdrav iz Makedonije

  • I got shivers every single time!

  • This song belongs to one of the best songs ever performed at ESC together with such big names like ABBA and Johny Logan

  • Please watch Ricardo Soler singing Molitva

  • thanks for the translation

    what a wonderful song

    what a wonderful voice

what wonderful spirit and emotion and delivery

  • i love the lyrics so beautiful

  • seriously good

  • NAJBOLJA BRE! :))

  • molitva ne znaci DESTINY.............

  • da, ali je pesma nazvana Destiny da bi se rimovala na engleskom ;)

  • Molitvâ.

    And it´s over.

  • it's so beuatiful! I love this song!

  • its destiny not prayer

  • No, it's prayer.

  • I love this song:)

    SHE DESERVED TO WIN!

im bosnian, but thats mostly the same.

    Ja volim ovu pjesmu.

  • just another ballad of life .. :)

  • Paskaoja :D

  • i am serbian its prayer and not destiny molitva means when you pray. HVALA MARIJA ZBOG TEBE SMO POBEDILI.

  • Bravo serbia! UkrAINE LOVE U!! OUR SLAVIAN BROTHERS ;)

  • she has an amazing voice, and the song is great!

  • i love this song it is just so heart felt go Serbia !

  • Thank you so much for posting this translation. It makes so much more sense than the english version of the song. I have loved this song from themoment i heard it and have all of Marija's music, even though i don't understand a word of it!

  • BEAUTIFUL!!

  • I love this song!!!!!!!!!I'm Bosnian so I understand the words to it but even if I didn't know the words I bet I would still love this song!! Its just so powerful and meaningful with the subtitles actually correct!!There is also an English version called Destiny but the lyrics are messed up.

  • @EMZYandCOLA I prefer it as prayer rather than destiny

  • Amazing song and performance! And translation is correct here. I don't like the English version because lyrics are way too different from the original, but they had to do it because direct translation would be too difficult to sing. Anyway, original version is the best, even if you don't understand the language.

  • found it "Molitva" - Marija Serifovic english

  • there is a version in english but i can't remember how it is called

  • its called destiny!

    ;)

  • What a song...every time I listen Marija, she give me a lot of emotions....

  • i LOVE this song!!!!tho wish it was in english:)

  • thanks for uploading this ^_^ I LOVE THIS MUSIC, I'd learn serbian just to be able to understand it myself ^_^

  • G-R-E-A-T.

  • I think the other translation is better.

    Still love this song!

  • THANKS!!!

  • Wonderful song, and great work by you.

At 1.42 the line "As long as I pray" the last Serbian word sounds like "Moli". Is that the verb "to pray" which is similar to the noun "prayer" and if so what is that word?

This song restored my love of the ESC - derided and ridiculed in my homeland (England) - with some justification, but the organisers have acted this year against partisan voting patterns - most of Scandinavia is in the same semi final block!

  • I am not understanding what you're asking but at 1:42 she is saying "as long as i pray"

    pray = molim.

    which comes from moli yes.

  • She has a very nice voice.

  • "ljubim" means love very much. Its something that has been used in old times and that stuff. In this song I think it means "love" not "Kiss".

And about "clouds" and "nebo", I meant to say that I don't agree cause "clouds" would be "oblaci". " nebo" means "heaven".

    GOOD JOB ON THE TRANSLATION!

    Great translation!

  • Somebody wrote that Eurovision it about politics. I dont belive that! And this song show this! Finnaly after manny manny years a good song wong! This is Eurovision about. a good song representing the country and performed in the native language!i just wish that in the future this"so called mistake"(like a lot a ppl say) will HAPPEN again and again.

  • I agree with you.

  • Amazing song.. Its maybe the song with the least motion in performance in the ESC history but manages to be the one with the strongest feeling. In one world: fantastic

    Congratulations Serbia (Greek fun)

  • Love this song, just love it!

    Hvala for this, brothers! :)

    Greetings from Bulgaria

  • i didn't like it when this song won, but now i really like it

  • this song sends shivers down my spine.

    Dobro

  • Thank you for the literal translation. I'm going to make it rhythmic. =D

  • There was a more rhytmic translation of this song, but I made it private cuz lot of people were complaining about the 'freeform' translation. If you want I can make the other video public again.

  • Is it Destiny? I've heard that one, and I like the lyrics, but they're very different. Anyway, I just rearranged some of the words in this one and made it rhythmic too. Want it?

  • Thx for your translation ;-) But I meant my video response to this video (Marija Serifovic - Molitva (english subtitle)

    Or see here:

    /watch?v=_HFxeZXt74E

  • This is my favourite song!

    dobro jedna Marija!

  • marija gives her emotional power to this song and makes it amazing..marija volim te srce moje..xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx i m coming to serbia just to see u..may 23 party!

  • This is a fantastic song. If we could just get it on the radio once here in the US (English version of course) it would be an instant hit. Somebody please play it!!!!!!!

  • serbia wont that hands down.. great work marija.. 10/10 !!

  • Hubiera sido mejor Mirela y asi demostramos lo del TONGO! Arriba Mirela y La reina de la noche

  • Oh, no, it wasn't.

Y no lloriquees, que los Nash fueron un truño

    (and, anyway, Nash were crappish)

  • all singers exept Marija here look just fantastic. The performance is bit erotic still with a high style and n ot trash and with lots of symbols ! Serbian lyrics are way more emotional and literary than English coz English is a cold language and emotions get lost in translation. Welldone for the performance and the singing

  • Yeah they all look good, but did you see the russian entry, its seemed their tactic was to make audiences drown in their own drool, forcing people to vote for them so they would leave the screen.

  • I don't understand serbian, but just by hearing the song...we can feel a lot of emotions. But I agree, the best way to really enjoy the song is to understand the lyrics in Serbian !

  • Great song from Serbia! My familly voted for her!

I love it!Hopefully the next year Bulgaria winn!

  • what a diference. Thank you for post these lyrics.

  • this video reply has the right lyrics... :)

  • what a sick lyrics. god knows there are better lyrics then this sick!! also singers are sick and loser. look at them they are just seem like a gay :S ohhh god i cant believe i am still listening to them. but it gives me fun ... lol

  • xaxaxaaxa

    that's good =))))

    (i'm from serbia)

  • I think it was very brave of Serbia (a strongly Christian country) to choose to be represented by a supposed lesbian, especially with a love song.

  • The girl from GEORGIA should have won, BUT it's just what the organizers really wanted. Can't you people see it's all decided before the winner is chosen. What they say about people voting is bullshit!!! Grow up! You know who wins? The one who pays the most. Rich assholes can buy almost about anything and Eurovision is no exception. What is so special about MOLITVA? I heard a million songs better than that. Good luck everybody, hope you have a chance to hear some good music for a change someday.

  • why are hating Molitva its amazing compare it to the song that got second Molitva was in a class of its own this song is over your head!

  • and serbia is soooo rich contry, a?

    yea, right...=/

  • STFU

Dude .. america loves this song. I think Eurovision just got a nice little kick of popularity in America just like with the last world cup.

Just cos your country didn't win doesn't mean that the winning country sucks. STFU, get a life, and enjoy the song for what it is.

  • I've heard a million songs better then Georgias what's your point?

  • France, Germany, Spain and England pay to be always in the final. Do have them been one time in a good position the 4 last years ? No. It's a proof that's a country with money hasn't an advantage. Look on westeurop. They didn't win last years. You just don't like the song, and we are sorry for you.

  • oi!

the swedish ashole comentator told all viewers that this was a lesbian fight song and i was like "whaat?" when it won but wow.....i feel almost ashamed over myself and how easily i bought it.. these lyrics RULE i have never heard better in eurovision (except katarina and the waves - love shine a ligh ;))

  • han sa att HON hade kallat den för lesbisk någonting.

he said that SHE called it a lesbian something.

  • Well, it's still a lie, because she's never said anything like that.

  • how do you know?

  • Watch th Eurovision from 2006 it is better. This song is great but 2006 had at least 5 cool songs(ex Bosnia,Rusia,Finland,Romania etc)

  • now that i read the lyrics, i understand the song. great winner.

  • That is a point of Eurovision-if you ask me always the best song wins but other places are not that realistic.

  • Oh, here is my top 10 of this years Eurovision:

    1.Serbia, 2.Andorra, 3.Slovenia,4.Cyprus, 5.Switzerland, 6.Spain, 7.Belarus, 8.Bulgaria, 9.France, 10.Ireland... what do u think??

  • That list should have been the Top 10 countries. But i say that Spain should be 2nd. I liked them a lot.

  • dude that is so wrong where is Ukraine and Turkey

  • Someone actually liked irelands entry? Even ireland didnt like irelands entry.

  • lol :P Oh well next year, new chances :)

  • why not? Well i like Irish songs..... And i think i am the only person in my country (Greece) who liked Irelands song!.....

  • Great song! And great voice too!!!

  • lovely song! i just can't stop listening to it! strong lyrics and beautiful music makes it complete

  • LoL!

Why should song be in english?

I think everybody should sing in domestical languages. It isn`t anglovision anyway.

  • So simple? So amazing!! "Prayer... Instead of words, just your name" is one of the most beautiful two lines I ever heard in a song.

When I heard Molitva for the first time I felt like shaking inside, when I heard it second time I got gooseskin all over. Now I play it again and again and I can't get enough.

    So WOW:

    Congratulations Serbia :)

Keii (Hungary -- azért szeretlek Magdiiii :) )

  • aaaaaa...i don´t like the lyrics...it is so ..simple...lame..grrr

  • yee but did you ever heard simple lyrics sound so beautiful :)

  • sounds like she says for finnis: kaljaa.. paskaoja! :D it means: beer.. shitditch!

  • "and the song isnt even english!"

do you think thats *maybe* because shes serbian? just maybe.

  • There is an amazing international career for this lady. She oozes attitude talent and intelligence - all pretty amazing to achieve in a 3 minte eurovision entry. Not surprised it won - but surprised how much I love it now. This will be an all-time classic Euro winner. Going to be looking for more of this talented lady's work. Come and see us in Australia!!!

  • At about 02.27 she adjusts her glasses.

    I like that.

  • OMG!That song is so pretty.I am in awe and it almost made me cry!*tear*And I thought that she didn't deserve to win and now I totally feel ashamed.Even though she looked and still looks like a man I really like her voice.I also like the women behind her, they all look so pretty in their hairstyles and nice suits.I especially like the blach-haired one that looks a bit Chinese or Japanese.I think she looks a bit like Lucy Liu.

  • Actually, they give me a kinda Charlie's angels feeling :)

    With the hair and all.

  • yeah!lucy liu,shes alex in charlie's angels.

  • i feel the same way!... i thought this was the biggest scandal in the history of eurovision and now i cant stop listening!...

  • definitely.I mean like I went like this "Why in hell did serbia win?The singer looks like a man and the song isnt even english!"

  • She sings amazing! amzing strong voice! it makes me wanna cry! so perfect she sings!

  • Vind ik ook ^^

  • UNFUCKABLE!!! Listen THAT voice and tell me it didnt deserved victory. How come there are so many unsatisfied people in the world?

  • Thank you for the post. I can't get enough of this song!

Does anyone know if any radio stations in the US have played the English version of this song?

  • wow, this (live) performance is better than the studio version!!!

  • way to go marija, we love you...

  • I am Verka's fan, and wanted her to win, but Maria also deserves victory. I listened to this song all evening and i'm just amased by her voice.

  • I couldn't agree more!

  • I think she's simply beautiful and the voice... woa... really good, wtg Serbia! ^^

  • Agreed, God saved most of Marija's beauty for her voice. Fabulous!

  • Here's the official translation:

    ht tp:// w ww . eurovision . tv / content/view/430/281/

Translation from Eurovision 2007 Song Contest oficial website

  • Yeah those are the lyrics I used in my other video.

However the translation from the Eurovision site isn't that good. Lot of words and sentences don't match up well. The translation that is used in this video is a more direct translation and fits the song way better imho.

  • @Reinick

    thank you

  • Very good song and she sings great :D

  • Zahvalnost!

  • Is this translation correct?

  • Yes its the official translation. You can also check it out here: w ww . diggiloo . net/?2007rs

  • The very best entry in the contest...

Great voice, great song - Congratulations Serbia !

  • congratulations serbia

  • Not a bad song, great voice, but did the choreographer have a house move on at the time?

  • yeah, serbia rocks! go marija!

  • Thankyou for this...

This song is really growing on me

    Well done Serbia...
