  • Can you make a tutorial of what to do after an update? Or do I just have to do everything all over again?

  • I can't make .bat files. I'm from belgium dunno

  • For those on windows 7 or maybe other 64bit machines, your ArenaNet folder is under Software-> Wow6432Node

  • how do i create another hard drive?

  • really appreciate the tutorial man, it helped me out alot. it's sad that the NCSoft launcher does not do this for you automatically, but i guess it's because GW is such an older game compared to Aion and the other NCSoft titles.

    anyway, thanks again.

  • hey man, great video, it helped a lot.

after there is a new build on GW, both accounts cant play simultaneously anymore.

Is there a quicker way to make them work together at the same time again or do i have to delete the GW2 folder and redo everything again from the scratch?

i tried to change the registry file but it didnt seem to be enough :S

    thanks in advance

  • @frankencubz all u have to do is redo the process with replacing guild wars with Guil3 W4rs using the XVi32 program on ur GW2.exe file

    its easy and fast

  • How do you get 4 hard disk drives up there like that? I only have two, and it won't let me paste it in the other one :(

  • @UberDeathTurtle You have to partition your Hard drives.

  • thanks man works perfectly and btw guys this isn't against the eula so arena net will not patch it ever and they are fully aware of the fact that this does exist.

  • i cant seem to get the XVi to save the replacement. any help?

  • So is this like if u press up on one account both accounts do it?

and can u get banned for it?

    please reply

  • @InsTiinkz11 No the clients run separate of each other, and you cannot be banned for this.

  • Why can't I save my DAT file? I can save the rest but not that one.

  • Does it have to be on another hard driver or can you do it with just one? Cause I only got a c driver.

If you can do it on only one hard driver, can you then write how to do if i have to do something to make it work?

    Else realy nice guide!

    Thanks!

  • Yes you can have it on the same hard drive, reason why I suggest using two different drives it because the hard drive with have to work less. To make it work on same hard drive just either have two different folders or different filenames.

  • Ok, Thanks again!

Gonna try setting it up now, so i can get tradede between my storage accounts and my main account ;b

    Realy nice guide

Do you still play Guild Wars?

  • Thanks for that video,

    got it going

    great walk through thanks :)

  • Thanks bro.

    5/5

  • im stuck at the save part of the gw2(dot)exe my computer wont let me save it

  • Okay. so everything up to the regedit works fine... idk why but i do not have an arenanet folder under software...now what? :/

  • One why to find your installation directory is by right clicking on the shortcut (on the desktop or start menu) and go to properties. There should be a field there that says target; that is where the *.exe is stored.

  • Go to a/the shop and buy one... <40$/35Euro/30GBP

Great thing for events... so we can use 1 or maybe 2 pcs instead of 3 for idling at event games like nine rings...

  • You can run more than just two clients using this method.

  • I know... a program to replace "Guild Wars" without the hexeditor is planned, too... :)

  • Ok... my laptop (1,6 GHz, 1GB RAM, 2-3 years old) can be used for up to 4 games (5 clients --> fan has to work hard to keep the system running) parallel - but no greater run should be done... only 9/16 rings or things like that...

on a core2duo (or equ. cpu) 3 clients can be used to play without problems... ;)

  • Of course it all depend on your computer, personally i can run >6 (although unnessecary).

  • Yep, im almost done coding one.

  • My one needs 0,12 sec. for patching 1 file... ;)

  • all patches are done one after another (3 complete patches with "X:\...\gw.exe -image" - copy could be an alternative)

    3 clients/2 copies 0,15-0,2 sec...

patchall should work, I hope so... ;)

  • ---patchall.bat @echo off cd X:\Games\GUILD WARS reg import gw.reg ping localhost -n 2 > NULL gw.exe -image ping localhost -n 1 > NULL cd X:\Games\GUILD WARS\GW1 reg import gw1.reg ping localhost -n 2 > NULL gw1.exe -image ping localhost -n 1 > NULL .......
  • ---start.bat

    @echo off

    cd X:\Games\GUILD WARS

    start reg import gw.reg

    ping localhost -n 2 > NULL

    start gw.exe

  • i need a guild wars account

  • Comment removed

  • buy one then

  • I mean Hex Editor.

  • just repeat the hex editor part.

  • How to get 2 clients to work after an update: 1. Open Client 1. 2. Download update. 3. Go to C:\Program Files\Guild Wars and switch out the .exe file and .dat from it to the Client 2 gw folder. 4. Start Client 2. 5. If it only opens 1 client, follow the next steps. 6. Get the EXE file you just replaced and rename to GW2.exe(IMPORTANT) 7. Open Hex Breaker. 8. Open GW2.exe 9. Go to Search:Replace. 10. You do not need to rewrite anything. 11. Click "Replace All". 12. Save it.
  • HELP! Ok I opened Client 1 and it downloaded some updates. Then I opened the second one, and then it got to 2 then to 1!!! WTF?? It worked perfectly b4 the update!

    LF FAST REPLY!

  • Just follow the instructions including the annotations. By default the extentions are not show, so even if you type ".bat" at the end of the name, the real file name will be "gwbatchfile.bat.txt" and will still be a txt file.

  • Also I subscribed for showing us this.

  • omg thanks so freaking much!!!!!!! I LUV YOU!
